No playing time for a scrub like that with 3pac ready to take over the league next year.

This is the part that I am excited about.

This is just year 1 with this group.

Kolek, Hukporti and possibly Dadiet should be regular contributors next season. That's instant depth at critical positions

That’s the thing, the Thibs makes no adjustments in the playoffs thing was a fallacy. He always made game to game adjustments in the playoffs in the past.

This year I will say his in game adjustments and decision making have been better than in the past.

He coached a helluva series and kept them fighting.

Thibs ultimate flaw is also his greatest strength, he always believes in his guys to figure it out.

Thibs has been great all playoffs and that's where it matters.

I thought his coaching sucked in game 5 but so did the players. Perhaps it was just the classic psychological loss up 3-1 against a desperate team and there wasn't much to read into. I remember how the Lakers blew out a tough and proven Celtics team in game 6 of the 2010 Finals, as a comparison.

I thought he overplayed Hart in some stretches but otherwise as you guys said he coached a great series, always pushing the right buttons. He adjusted by switching ball screens more and he did so early in the series, which was key in getting the series lead. The double big lineup was also hugely successful.

The Pistons series was a war of attrition but even championship teams sometimes face difficulties in the first round. 2008 Celtics, 2010 Lakers and several others come to mind. It's not always smooth saillng.

Credit to Brunson also for being absolutely surgical in the last 2-3 wins. Moving the ball and finding teammates, but also knowing when to pounce and attack in isolation. Incredible Brunson series I thought.

I believe they have a second round pick in this year's draft through Memphis, Aller needs to work his magic again, maybe get a 6'10" forward/wing....Kolek should be the backup to Brunson next year, McCullar and Dadiet should provide wing depth on the cheap and Hukporti backing up Mitch.

The Knicks just felt bad for Tatum and gave Boston a sympathy win in Boston for game 5. We have a team and coach that are great people! Then we stepped on their necks last night to end their misery.

I honest to God think to this day that Melo was in his ear complaining about Phil and the front office so much that it eventually got to him. Then you got his brother/agent with the same narrative and that pushed KP over the edge. Deep down he wanted to be here, but he was young and everybody pressured him to leave. I still have his autographed jersey in my closet somewhere.

I think it was that, plus they were rallying around Tatum and they had a different look without him. You can compensate for a game but not over a series. Especially with older players who can turn it back briefly. These guys were Champs for a reason.

Knicks locked in and brought a new game plan to counter G5 and turned in a champion level performance yesterday. I've watched hoops for a long time and everyone gets outcoached in games but he's managing series very well.

Fire Thibs

Thibs deserves credit! I've always said I have a ton of respect for him but I just want him to either evolve offensively of bring in an offensive coach.
Have to give him credit for making sure Kat got in the action more at the start of Game 6. Made all the difference in the world. Not to mention,
many counter adjustments he made in the chess match between him and Mazz...

Credit to Thibs for sure. He still has his moments and quirks, but in general has been great during the playoffs. In the end the players need to show up and can make you look good or bad but coaching def matters especially in the playoffs.

Another big series and test…..gotta keep pushing the right buttons and make the right adjustments going up against another good coach

i think they all just hated phil. i heard shump & jr talking about it recently. they thought he had no idea what he was doing. which he didn't.

I have a feeling down the road KP will be back here, maybe not now but when he is near the end of his career and he ends up being a back up, he got a ring and the money, to come back here where it all started will come full circle for him.
