The hype won't, but foot surgery for a 255lb player will scare some teams away.

It scares me away a bit. He was my guy before I found that out.

He’s already put on 10+ pounds since he got hurt, I’m assuming because he can’t work out. Plus I saw an interview where he said he wouldn’t be back on the court until July therefore no workouts prior to the draft. Foot surgery is scary but he is probably worth the gamble. My top two guys that might be available: Sorber and Coward. Then, small gap, and Bryant and Traore.

Looking at prospects there's a lot of guys I like and I trust Connelly to be able to find a player if we keep the picks. There's some nice bigs, PG prospects, big passing wings, shooting. We should be able to find some guys to really help our team now and in the future.

Tankathon has big board and if you click on any individual it will give you a list of there strengths and weaknesses. Each category is given a certain level of + and minus marks. Cooper Flagg had zero weaknesses. Unfortunately the + marks didn't copy but there were a lot of them.

Wings: Carter Bryant, Nique Clifford, Cedric Coward. I think Coward has risen so much, he might be first of these guys off the board.
Bigs: Thomas Sorber (defensive 5); Wolf (more of a Naz 4-5); maybe Essengue/Beringer (18 yr old Euros who I haven't watched).
PG: Nolan Traore - I know we don't a PG but I love a pass first PG and he's really improved the second half of this year playing in a pro league

My guys: Coward, Bryant, Sorber, and Traore. I'd be okay with Clifford, but I don't see a lot of upside in a guy that will turn 24 during his rookie year.

At 31, depends who falls, quite a few bigs I like: Ryan Kalkbrenner (actually shot it well at the combine); Yaxel Lendenborg; Max Raynaud

Perfect draft for me - Bryant, Coward, or Traore at 17 and Kalkbrenner, Beringer, or Lendenborg at 31 or in a trade up to late first round.

Yeah, your list is pretty much my list:

17th: Sorber, Carter Bryant, Nique Clifford, Cedric Coward, Wolf, Lendenborg, Demin or Traore/Saraf
31th: Kalkbrenner, Beringer, Condon, Raynaud

Need more information about Adou Thiero, Noah Penda, Alex Toohey, Hansen Yang, Neoklis Avdalas and Yanic Konan Niederhauser. Really hope that in addition to 17 and 31 pick TC can add a promising player on a two-way contract, to make our g-league team great again.

Why don't you consider Clayton Jr? He fits right next to Randle.

What a great feeling to be in the WCF with great draft position in the upcoming draft! At pick 17, my favorite players in order are Cedric Coward, Rasheer Fleming, Walter Clayton Jr, and Yaxel Lendeborg. I’m down on Thomas Sorber after the news on his foot injury and weight gain. I’m concerned he would get hunted on defense too because his lateral quickness is poor. I’d consider him if he slips to 31, depending on his medical evals.

I like the big man depth at pick 31 - my favorite guys in order are Rocco Zikarsky, Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Ryan Kalkbrenner, and Alex Condon. I’m intrigued by Zikarsky out of Australia. He has a 9’6.5 standing reach, surprising athleticism and motor for a guy that’s 7’3 without shoes and 257 pounds. He’s also going to be a shade under 19 years old on draft night too, so there’s a long runway for improvement. Yes he is a very raw prospect, but let him learn from Gobert for a few years and he may end up being a steal.

Call me intrigued. You gotta like him for the name if nothing else.

Sorber weight gain might be blessing in disguise, just like Reid injury before draft was. Personally I am willing to take a risk

I think he will be available at 17. It's up to the Wolves medical staff to determine how much of a risk he is.

Naz missed one game in college. And played 36 minutes in the next one.

He dropped because he was fat and had a poor attitude as a freshman. I don't think anyone expected him to work sop hard on his body (lost 40+ pounds) and on his game after joining an NBA team.

He'll definitely be available at 17. Possibly even at 31.

I knew he was a doughboy coming in. I didn't realize he lost 40 pounds. Wow.

He was around 270. Nowadays he’s right around 230.

People still want to refer to him as a center, but he’s closer to being a SF.

I have seen enough of Hansen Yang to be really interested in selecting him at #31. I could see a team reaching on him in the late first.

Seems to have natural touch as a passer, solid footwork and decision making defensively (even though he’s pretty slow), and is developing as a three-point shooter. There is enough there that intrigues me into wanting to give him a shot.

I get what you are saying. But I am still willing to risk. I am sure TC has no problem with drafting Sorber (see Vando example in DEN) IF he sees the reason.

Really good screener too. Here's the highlights from one of his scrimmages:

Has Hansen Yang enough stamina to stay on the floor in high paced NBA games?
