Managing mistake by the Tigers. Santander may be more dangerous because of the power, but in that situation it was any hit that beat you. And Clement, especially when you consider Santander's season, was more likely to get a hit there.

Imagine where we would be if Vlad was actually a generational hitter like a Soto/Judge/Ohtani or even Tatis Jr. Vlad is more like a Pete Alonso

LOL at pinch hitting Myles Straw for any major league player. Dude hit .240 last year - in Triple A.

Doubt we’d be able to now. Decent argument to trade him too given the season he is having, kickstart the rebuild off the value you could get from one of the best players in baseball.

Over 2 weeks sure. You’re just sticking it to his critics, two other guys also had huge hits.

Varsho and Kirk hit absolute rockets into bad luck and Bichette gets doubled off like the awful baserunner he is

Going to some minor leaguer with the game on the line (Braydon Fisher) over Yimi worked out as well as you'd have thought

Not sure why Sweeney tried to really rush that play on the Kirk grounder.
But I'll take the infield hit,

So they should have asked Yimi to go the final 2 1/3 innings?
Makes sense.

You can blame the management team for the staff and options they have put together. But the manager can only work with what he has available.

Straw man.

But to answer your question, they should have used Yimi Garcia in the 6th inning in a tie game with runners on (instead of in the 1 run deficit that they did) or left Fluharty in (a very effective RP) instead of going to their worst, most inexperienced RP in the biggest spot in the game, yeah. Seems simple enough.
