They have 28, 32, next years first and Blazers 2nd I think. They need to hit a home run on one of those picks or a double on two.
Brad needs to make a really good trade, which he has shown he can do. Yes it possible.

I'd explore what you could get in return for Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday. Try to trade them for younger players who better fit the team's timeline. The hope is that the new additions mesh well with the core, and Tatum is able to return before the playoffs next year so you can make a strong run with that group.

I don't see promising young players getting traded for KP, JH or their contracts (unless maybe for KP at the trade deadline next season).

Maybe a team like the Lakers where you could get Reaves back or the rockets where Jabari Smith has fallen out of the rotation.

You're dreaming.

Tatum and Brown are clearly alphas. Silly to say otherwise. There continues to be issues with focus and maturity at times. Brunson and Robinson were physical profile problems for this roster and to not keep laser focus on chopping them down where they WERE vulnerable to mitigate that is more about the Jays having misdirected aggression not a lack of it.

Could the C's maybe pinch Oscar Tshiebwe, a 2-way center, from the Jazz?

Just what they need: another big that can't shoot.

Al and KP can shoot. The problem is they can't score in the post (within 5 feet) and can't rebound. Giannis can score in the paint all day and can rebound really well. I don't see how Boston can get him without giving up Tatum or Brown.

Where do you go from here?

You focus on getting more fit/healthy, more wealthy, happier, become a better friend, parent, better sibling, more peaceful, kinder and better overall person. Leave the basketball stuff to Brad and the owners. Our opinions don't matter to the Celtics anyway.

Celtics need a new coach. A good center. Get rid of everyone besides Tatum, Pritchard and White.

Well well well, if it isn't "time to rebuild the team" season all over again. I guess I'm back

Does anyone know if Cooper Flagg grew up a Celtics fan?
If he pans out, that will be a serious free agent target mission in 4/5 years.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

The C's need to draft, ideally, 2 of the intriguing bigs who may be available where they pick--whether Thomas Sorber, Ryan Kalkbrenner, or Joan Beringer:

Or maybe Brad trades up a bit for Maxime Raynaud:

Sorber has a lot of upside but the C’s will need to move up a bunch to get him.

Kalkbrenner (and Raynaud) is really athletic for his size: https://www.nba.com/stats/draft/combine

And maybe so re: Sorber, but KOC at Yahoo has him going #28 to the C's right now.

I like O'Connor's draft analysis of player comps also. Other mocks have Sorber all over the place. If he fell to 28 I'd be shocked and would have to wonder if teams saw something bad with his foot injury.

Two players the C's have who are sell high right now are White and Pritchard.

IMO, there are 5 teams in the top 10 of the lottery who can be in the playoffs next season.

Pritchard can't get you one of those picks, IMO he can move you up a few spots if the 28th pick was attached. He can get you a future 1st, but what do you gain in the mean time?

White can get you one of those picks for sure. With JT out he'll be a focal point for sure alongside JB. They can make the playoffs, but how far can they go realistically? What I saw this post-season was a gassed White. Played all the way into August last year, had a month off maybe? Teams like the Spurs, Raps and Rockets may see him as a needle moving player and are willing to give up another year of drafting upside since they are loaded with young players.

If Joe's contract is up, then move on. This team has enough coachable young guys with some room left to grow. Joe is not a developmental coach.

Try to get into the lottery with White and Jrue. It's possible.

Not knowing what the hell Porzingis has or had even though they have the best medical options tells me he's not going to garner interest for his 30mil next season. Stretch him out.

If Luke wants a minimum contract great.

Trade Tillman.

Sam will have a more productive year since he'll be healthy and minutes will be available without JT.
