I think they should trade their older vets, clear the books and tank.

They're irrelevant without Tatum anyway. Might as well rebuild while he recovers.

I'm thinking that Boston is gonna stealth tank next season. All those contracts on the books need to get cleared anyway since they are trying to sell the team.

Weren’t they sold over a month ago?

You're right. Sold at the end of March for 6 Bil.

With Tatum now out next season and the team pretty much in the bad place tax wise, I can see them moving on from this current group.

not so easy i think. horford is expiring so unless he wants to come back for next to nothing i assume he's gone.

kp has 2 years left at 30 a year but he's injured a lot and now has this mystery illness. not sure there will be a good market for him. with the cap situation the way it is, who has an extra 30 mill to use on a player that may not play/be effective ?

and jrue has 3 more years at 35 a year and will be 35 in june. decent player but already declining. will they have to attach an asset to dump him ? could be.

they might have to dump someone like white to reduce salaries which they pretty much have to. the repeater tax will have them spending like half a bill in salaries i thought i heard if they don't.

I agree I think they might have a fire sale this summer, Tatum out and brown maybe needing surgery. No real reason to keep holiday or horford at this stage. Who knows about porzingis at this point.

I've been a Knick fan since I was 9 years old.
Im 43 now. So to finally see this team make it back to the ECF is truly exciting and long overdue. Let's take Indiana seriously and win game 1 at home.
Still work to be done.

I appreciate his rebounding so much. Getting a defensive stop is all for nothing if you don't secure the defensive rebound.

And there's nothing more deflating than giving up an offensive rebound that leads to an open 3pt shot.

KAT has been a huge part in eliminating the last two defending champions. But now is the time to punctuate all of that with a ring buddy.

Still wild the season began with the Celtics ring ceremony/blowout win and ended with their destruction.

Media gonna play the Boston was injured angle to explain away our win. Whatever.

Destroy Indiana and give the league a wake up call.

This team HAS THE PIECES. It can win it all if they play together and unified under Thibs.

Mitch and Bridges are huge defensive multipliers when locked in

yesterday was thibslamic in every way.

it can be done.

I think some team may still be interested in Jrue if they feel they're close to contention or need to establish a culture. Maybe every FO has caught on that he's washed but I think there's always a team that's willing to bank on pedigree. Perhaps Jrue for Fox, or Jrue for Tobias?

KP is an all-around mystery you're right.

I wonder if they shouldn't look to keep White - I think he's arguably their second-best player, and his game should age fairly well. But perhaps you're right and now is the time to dump his contract.

Either way F the Celtics I hope that Tatum comes back healthy but that otherwise they make all the wrong decisions.

That’s a couple month recovery, he’ll be fine by time the season starts. I think they should move off some of the old players if they can though.

Return to New York Knicks
