JJJ would be amazing but Memphis would have to commit to a rebuild which I don't see happening

I think they're good with steadily improving and Ja selling jerseys

I want the dubs to go get a true backup pg, 3&D SG/Wing, and a true center who can plays hardnose D, set great screens, and rebounds. Finishing without doing 1500 pumpfakes would be an added bonus too.

Who is the best player/fit the Warriors can get with that 8.8 million exception? Bitadze is being floated as a center option.

Would you trade mm/buddy/podz + 4 1sts for him? Plus any swaps …

I’m not sure we can aggregate contracts in a s&t with jk.

A curry/jimmy/dray/jjj lineup would be extremely intriguing.

Curry/
Jk?
Jimmy
Dray/santos
Jjj/post/tjd

Sign a bunch of shooters. Trent, Beasley, kennard, shamet etc. maybe sign and trade jk for a shooter at the 2?
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

We have 4 first and 3 swaps to trade. Now seems to be the time to push for one more piece. Ideally, it's a young piece on a decent contract. We have ~30m in very movable contracts (mm, buddy, podz, tjd, gui, post) to match salary before getting to dray, if it's a 55m contract coming back. This is what I have so far:

I have to protect the picks top 1, but otherwise I'd move:

3 picks and 2 swaps:
JJJ (maybe less since he's expiring and will need a big extension).
Turner (if it's ~30m/yr in a S&T)
Derrick White (no caveats)

2 picks and 1 swap:
Trey Murphy (great fit but some injury stuff)
Deni avdija (only 16m/yr so it's just moody + filler)
Herb Jones + 1 pick back

I don't think JJJ, white, or Turner will change teams. Ideally, we'd get trey murphy but I don't think it'll happen.

In a realistic scenario, we move moody and 1 swap for cobi white and podz, buddy, tjd + 2 swaps and 1 pick to por for avdija. Resign jk for 5/100 and I like our chances:

Steph
Jimmy
Avdija
Dray
JK

Bench:
Brook or boucher (vet min)
White
Melton (vet min)
Lyles
FA shooter (Burks?)
FA pg (tyus Jones?)

It's the offseason. It's the time of stupid trade proposals.

Daniel Gafford seems like a dude who would be perfect to plug in at C and maybe without an extreme cost. He's stuck on the bench in Dallas with Lively there. He's not the scorer JJJ is but he's very efficient and has the size we need while just entering his prime at 26.

Why do you think Uta values Kessler so much? Other than white guys in Uta and all that.

I really don’t follow the rest of the league enough anymore to have a handle on good, realistic options but for me, understanding the reality of how we’re likely to play, the priority would be finding someone that can replace the bulk of Podz minutes. Most other positions are going to end up situational players with limited game to game impact but we have to get a better guard option IMO.

He’s been on the trading block for a year now and he hasn’t been traded. Supposedly they want 2 1sts and no **** firsts since some team offered 2 1sts and Utah declined.

backup PG Seth Curry
PG/SG Donte DiVincenzo
C Nikola Vucevic
A 6-7 SG/SF with quickness, agility and smooth shooting mechanics
rookie Cedric Coward and/or Koby Brea and/or Ryan Kalkbrenner

1. How do you plan on getting Donte? He makes ~ moody money but we'd need to sweeten the pot, I'm sure.

2. No thank you to Vucevic, especially since we'd need to match 20M to get him and we don't have the contracts to do so (moody and buddy = 20M and we have no one else).

3. a 6-7 fwd w/ quickness, agility, and smooth shooting mechanics typically goes in the top 10. we have pick 41.

Wouldn't mind Seth as our backup 2 but I don't think he can run the offense, even on the 2nd unit.

Seth is a shooting version of PG2. I love his defense every time he plays against his brother.

Need PG2 off this roster just so Kerr can't keep using him at PF.

If no big moves this summer, my #1 hope is still Brook Lopez that is not a pipe dream.

Donte for Podz plus something
Vuc for Loon and GP2
Coward and Brea are 2nd rounders but it can be a hidden gem on a NBA bench somewhere.

Podz make just over 3 while Donte makes 12. So it would be Podz and buddy or podz and moody for Donte. I wouldn't do either of tohse.

Loon and GP2 are free agents and while you could have gotten Vuc for Loon/GP2/and one more small contract (like tjd) at the deadline, this summer, the only people we have that can add up to 20M is Moody and Hield. You could S&T JK with Moody or Buddy to get close to Vuc's salary but I am defintely not trading anything of value for nikola.

Why would Chicago want Loon and GP2? They want to go younger, not older. And pay a lot of money for them?

And why would GP2/Looney want to go to Chicago as a FA if they have a choice?

Well there could be more ways how to get right people. I see Donte as tremendous fit but the most important needs are a SG/SF slasher and a center.
You see the agility of OKC and MIN wings. We had only Moses Moody to provide some of it and he got out of the rotation.
A center should be either vertical threat or 3-point threat. Small lineups do not work that well.
I should be on Lacob payroll...
