So not only would the Warriors have to duck the hard cap (which requires them to let Kuminga, GPII, and Looney walk) but they would have to then pay Brook $23M.

I'm seeing a lot of pundits act liking Jrue has positive value. They're paying him like a 2nd-3rd option, who never was one in the playoffs for the Bucks & beyond, he's already declining, + they have to pay him for 3 more seasons. He's a straight up bad contract.

He's not what we need. Don't want to take on more years, rather less, to get into FA earlier. And we require a guy who we can convince ourselves is a 2nd option, on too much $. Maybe another guy w/ a criminal record. Jrue's squeaky clean, just not that good.

The potential Brook S&T was definitely not on my radar as a way to get a legit asset, but they seem kind of desperate.
