I picked Thunder in 6, good for Nuggets to get this to game 7, but they won't win tonight.

Mrakar wrote:It was stresfull month for me as Nuggets/Jok suporter, that Clippers series was wild, this one also. I think my productivity at work next day was dependant on Nuggets win/loss night before. Somehow i woke up today totally calm, not as stressed as i thought i would be. I somehow realised that Nuggets overachieved already and that they had a solid PO even if they lose tonight.
After 75th game of the season no1 believed they can be serious contender this year.
And so far they sent home the betting favourite Clippers(NBA analyst(not only espn crew) had the Clippers also, as well as realgm board), and now they pushed 68 win OKC, a huge betting and analyst favourite, to a game 7 with 6.5 man rotation, while everyone thought it will be a short series.
Tonight they are away team against the best team in the NBA this season. 3rd best player is probably not playing, and even if he does he will be severly limitted. Best shooter played basicly with one hand whole series, his shooting and especially rebounding was affected ofc.
The fact that Nuggets are still in this series is a wonder, and whatever happens tonight will not change a fact that they are resilient team with by far the best player in the world. Yes, win would be great, but if someone asked me at 70/75 game mark for their season to end in game 7 against OKC on the road i would take it.

Fully agreed. The way they upped their defense in the playoffs and their overall intensity and are battling these teams as underdogs with the injuries they have has been super impressive and though Joker had his worst game stretch, I've seen in the playoffs, he solidified to me that he is definitely the best player in the world and won't go down without a fight in elimination.

Regardless of the season ends today, I'll give Denver their flowers for how they showed up in the playoffs.

This has to be deflating, cant see Nuggets pulling this off today in any scenario...

I have a lot more faith in the Nuggets #2 guy (Murray) showing up than I do OKC's (Jalen Williams).

If Gordon manages to play, I think even on one leg he'd outperform Williams.

The only way I see the Thunder winning is if one of the bench guys goes off for 20+ points.

I agree with this in terms of Jokic+Murray >> SGA+JW but I think the thunder depth especially in this spot at home with the nuggets banged up is a big advantage.

Jokic and Murray I think are too tough to just quit but yea it's going to be almost impossible for Denver to pull this game out unless the pressure of a game 7 rattles the young thunder (i don't really expect that with this team but it's not impossible).

well despite Gordon's injury it is still the closest vegas line from a Thunder game at home in this series so it says something...

I think the line is a bit too high even with Gordon out. Denver isn't likely to just quit but OKC is explosive so could def see them covering but I'd lean Denver cover.

I would love to disagree but I think you are correct. OKC been overrated this all series (or Denver underrated, probably both)

It's a bit of both i agree but i think more so denver underrated. The lines were bad in the clippers series too, Denver was an underdog in game 5 at home and like a 1 point favorite in game 7 at home.

just feels like Denver has finally run out of steam. they have been playing a short rotation that wore their key players down and now with Gordon out its a death blow. id rather see two healthy teams in the wcf. Unless Denver can add more depth in the off season i can see the same ending next year.

Jalen Williams, Chet, and others have left much to be desired this series. Williams in particular has to not wilt under pressure. They are playing at home, and if Gordon is not playing, should be the bigger team and just attack, rebound and do everything they can to keep Jokic and others on the back foot.

I fully expect a blowout, but have the Thunder ever been put in the fire? I know SGA will come to play, it is everyone else that we should be concerned about.
