In his UCL presser, he stated, "Winning trophies is about being in the right moment in the right place. Liverpool have won the title with less points than we have in the last two seasons. With the points of the past two season we have two Premier League [titles]."

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the season isn't over. Liverpool currently sit on 82 points through 35 matches. In the 2022-2023 season, Arsenal had 81 points, finishing on 84 points. Last year, Arsenal had 81 points same time frame, finishing on 89 points.

I'm a little confused...

I couldn't think of a better figurehead to represent the state of that club in the modern era.

In a constant state of delusion. Perpetually evading criticism.

Subconsciously lowering standards with every passing excuse.

Mikel Arteta is the Arsenal fan experience personified.

Harsh...but alot of truth there.

Listen to this guy speak. Comes across a sociopath, truthfully.

Arteta and some Arsenal fans should read the below carefully. It's called ACCOUNTABILITY.

Erling Haaland has said there are no excuses for Manchester City's disappointing season and insisted it has happened because he and his teammates "haven't been good enough."

City have relinquished the Premier League title to new champions Liverpool and failed to reach the latter rounds of the Champions League following their exit at the hands of Real Madrid.

Injuries to key players like Rodri have played a part.

Haaland, however, believes the underwhelming campaign has been caused by a dip in "hunger" within the squad after years of unprecedented success including four successive league titles and a treble in 2023.

"Of course, you can find excuses, injuries, many injuries at bad times, but in the end we haven't been performing well enough," Haaland said in an exclusive interview with ESPN.

"We haven't had fully the hunger inside of us. I haven't been good enough. I haven't helped the team enough. In the end, we haven't been good enough."

Plain and simply, Nottingham Forest has choked. The club has drawn two and lost four of their last six PL matches -- 2 out of 18 points.

Their owner walking on the pitch to confront Nuno was unacceptable though.

Exciting last two rounds to decide Europe spots.... Forest crumbling, Chelsea losing big 3 points, Newcastle grabbing their opportunity, City with a fumble against Southampton and Villa creeping right into contention.

I actually didn't mind that, especially in a situation as this. Though, I will admit it would likely have been better done in the locker room rather than on the pitch.

It's hard for us folks to understand, but these owners have put a lot of money into these clubs. And if you look at what each earn, the majority either break even or run at a loss (within PSR rules).

Nottingham Forest's run was unexpected, however, expectations change once a season progresses. It's been absolute failure either on the part of Nuno or the players these last six matches, three of which were against Everton (H), Leicester City (H) and Tottenham (A).

Most clubs competing in the top comps run at a loss by design....and their owners are not making money directly at that time, BUT look at the money these clubs are worth. Forest's owner bought them for an estimated 50mil pound...it would be at least 10 x times that now.

I'm not saying they are not throwing lots of money in the club, they have to do that to be competitive, but we're talking about Billionaires spending a few hundred million.

Ange should be fired the second the Europa League final concludes.
It's time for 5 refs.

Palace!!!

2-0 up against City in the FA Cup final. This would be huge for them. Ah nuts, it looks like this second goal might be offside.

Palace win the cup. 1-0 win over City. Their first major trophy.

Tbf, Henderson schould've been sent off. It's as clear as a red could be.

Next Sunday's Nottingham Forest vs. Chelsea match has so many implications for top-5.

I was moved seeing grown men, old men and kids crying because their team won finally a big title. Like they couldn't believe it. It was a joy to see, day like this is for every fan of the game. Even I can't believe Crystal Palace didn't win something like most teams in EL like 80-100 years ago.

I'm gonna root hard for Nottingham Forest, it is like a huge final.
I hope Forest don't choke for their fans and it would be fun if Chelsea's twisted formula isn't rewarded with CL spot.

Problem for Nottingham Forest is, even if they win, it's not in their hands. If Aston Villa defeat Manchester United, no matter what Forest does, they will fall short.

Villa just got screwed and then they get the ball in their net.
