yeah Mel- if he cant play - OKC should win at home. If that happens I have Minny beating OKC.

Sounds like he’s out for at least a month. That’s a big blow for them. He’s been arguably their second best player in the post season.

OKC VS Timberwolves is a tough one to predict. They have the wing defenders in Dort and Caruso to slow down Ant and they have double bigs to match Randle and Gobert. That series might go to 7 I think. But I’m rooting for Minny to take them down lol

Yeah - I cant argue your position. I just think Minny is tougher but I wouldnt bet it either way.

I was very high on OKC after the regular season but their postseason run has been a bit underwhelming....not only does SGA not look as great, J-Dubb has also been up and down and with OG and Mikal we have two nice matchups there. I feel like if Morant didn't go down they would have dropped a couple games against Memphis as well.

I would probably still prefer Denver for the mere fact we would have HCA.

I think the Knicks matchup better against the Nuggets as shown in the regular season but i'm also curious to see Randle against a team like OKC. When he went west it seemed like he could possibly benefit from getting away from extra interior defenders clogging the paint like KP, Embiid, Turner, Allen, Mobley etc... I really want to see how much he has grown going up against OKC's defense with iHart and Holgren and all of their very active defenders.

After last night, I'm begging for it as long as we can keep Brunson and OG.

Wednesday night's game was very discouraging, but it wasn't all on KAT. Friday showed us how we could and should be playing. I suspect all of us would have though about trading everyone except Brunson on Thursday morning, so I hope our front office is a little more consisten in their appraisal of talent than we RealGM folks are..

Im an unabashed starpucker but im gonna go on record and say hard pass on giannis.

His game is not going to age well and I dont think he compliments Brunson well. Let him go out west or rot with the nyets. We're good.

Denver HAS to win today
This game has huge implications for the Knicks championship and for the future of the league
We can beat Denver, okc not so much

How do you know? The Knicks surpassed all of our expectations by devastating the Celts in game 6. We put the nail in the coffin of their freaking dynasty. Meanwhile, OKC has been a little underwhelming in the playoffs. I say, let's just play to win against the Pacers and we'll deal with whoever they throw our way in the finals.

I'll preface this with i like kd and enjoy his openness on twitter. That said, there is something beautiful about him twitting through it while we're on the way to the ecf and those nyets never did.

If you dont think the lottery is totally corrupt think again....the obvious gifting of Cooper Flagg (at a 1.8% chance to happen) to the Mavs after they inexplicably gifted Luka to the Lakers. We all know the Lakers ALWAYS have a top 5 or top 10 player on their squad.

David Stern, former NBA commissioner, famously stated that the best matchup in the NBA would be "Lakers versus Lakers". He reportedly made this comment in 2004, 'joking' that it was the matchup the league office most desired. Well the NBA always make sure this happens.

NBA wants Philly to be good (like the NFL) so they 'magically' jumped from 6 to 3 with having to convey their pick to OKC (who already is stacked)

NBA loves San Antonio and from Tim Duncan to Webamyana, now they 'luck' into the #2 spot to get a stud PG (Rutgers stud Harper) for Vic.

Utahs timeline is still long and so they drop down a spot or two.

Yeah I agree. I was pessimistic myself after the regular season and even the first round series against Detroit but we were essentially up 3-1 against a pretty much full Celtic squad (game 4 was a wrap with us being up 9points with under 3 minutes to go...and Tatum was having a 40+ points night and we were still up). We are definitely at a different level at the moment. And keep in mind OKC games were without Mitch as well. If our top 7 remain healthy we can go all the way. Of course it'd be nice to have home court, which we wouldn't have against OKC....the only thing that has me hoping for Denver as well is that Denver really does not have a single good defender for Brunson and Brunson had like the best splits against Denver....getting like 28/15assists on 60% from the field. OKC has a lot of good defenders to throw around.

Everyone should be rooting for Denver

Imagine having home court advantage for both the Conference Finals AND Finals

i value experience in the playoffs though and they have it. they also have the best player in any series they're in.

okc has some young guys they need to rely on who are still question marks.

i think denver will win today anyway for those same reasons

matchup wise OKC is way tougher matchup for us. They play ihart and chet and will just put Chet on Hart and have him just sit in the paint all series.

Jokic is the best player and I think they can win today as well. But we match up really well vs Denver. Especially with Gordon who really can't move out there.

yeah, i think it's just conventional wisdom that okc is the best team because of the regular season. but depth is not as important as your top players in the playoffs. and that guy in denver is a monster.
