Randle is a different type of breed. Had Draymond so shook he went and announced to the world he got his ass beat by Randle and there was nothing he can do about it

I really would love to find a way to bring back Divo next year. He is languishing in Minny. I dont know if we can sign and trade Precious in the deal but if they actually want to resign Randle they are going to maybe want cheaper and shorter term contracts.
Divo not even counting the Nova connection is a perfect complement to this squad. This line-up doesn't have one of those made bombers from 5 feet beyond the 3 point line. That dynamic would be perfect to add especially when we play Mitch Rob at the 5.
Last January was a great run. It was 14 games. We looked unstoppable. How far they would have gotten is anyone's guess but, I loved that team.
The whole idea that keeping Randle we would be better? Based on what? He played like we needed him to for one month and didn't want to sign an extension? Oh well
Donte sucked off the bench for us btw. He wasn't playing well until he became a starter. He struggled a bit off the bench in Minny this year. I would love to have ran that team back and just add Mikal but, that wasn't possible.
Here we are in the ECF so .. Everything Rose did worked out fine. 8 down and 8 to go.
14 games out of how many years? That doesn’t work most of the time in the workplace…you’d get fired way before then for that because your boss will ask you why you weren’t putting in that effort earlier. In his time here, there’s only one year where I was satisfied with his effort: 2020-2021. Any other year after that, I knew we weren’t getting his all.
We can’t just blame playoff injuries. The man should have been going hard from the beginning…he would have been a legend here. It’s hard to overstate how many advantages he was given. He had Daddy Dolan’s ear, which is so big. He was the undisputed leader of the team for several years. Thibs gave him the ball over and over. He made many mistakes and did not face any accountability, which might have been the Knicks’ mistake too. The one time he was held accountable here was when he didn’t get his extension and then got traded.
We shouldn’t blame the Knicks for trading away Randle. If Randle did what he was supposed to do, he’d still be here. He’d be on track to be a Knicks legend. He’d have his contract, his Knicks legacy, an environment where the owner loves him, etc. If he truly valued that, he wouldn’t need “14 games”
So we should ignore that he was the #1 option with trash surrounding him in 2021 and he played on one ankle that needed surgery in his second playoffs? Those are the worst situations you can put him in so I'm not sure how you can even blame him for that. That's not being fair at all and ignoring context to run with a narrative to hate him. He just needed to be healthy and have talent around him and we're seeing that now.

I saw this article on Tatum from the Athletic. He seems like a good dude.
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6363051/2025/05/17/celtics-nba-playoffs-knicks-loss-jayson-tatum/
"As much as it helped the Celtics to have Tatum available so consistently, his playing time became an occasional topic of contention for some inside the Celtics organization during recent seasons. While it’s admirable he wanted to play so badly in an era of load management, the desire to avoid nights off again landed him in the top-10 in minutes per game, where he has now finished in five straight seasons. Including the playoffs, he has played more minutes than anybody else since the Celtics drafted him in 2017. Also a two-time Olympic gold medalist with Team USA, he has rarely given his body a break in recent years.
When the Celtics wanted him to rest, he consistently pushed back. After a March win against Miami, he said “a lot of headbutting” takes place before games when the team wants him to sit out. Based on the consistency with which he suits up, he wins most of those arguments. He played 72 regular-season games, crossing the 70-game mark like he has in every full season of his career. He takes his availability even more seriously on the road, where he knows fans don’t have many chances to see him play.
“I’ve been very blessed and fortunate… to, (when) I come in arenas, I see a lot of Tatum ‘0’ jerseys and kids with my shoes on,” Tatum said. “I understand they might be for their birthday or Christmas gift or whatever, and I try to stay ready and play as much and often as I can, and especially games on the road. I know somebody appreciated seeing me out there tonight.”

If you think it's going to be NYK vs MIN and we win, Fan Duel has +1100 odds right now for that outcome (bet $100, get $1,200). That's a real possibility I can't believe it's that high.

The Knicks were so intimidating with I-Hart, Julius and OGA as a frontcourt and Mitch off the bench. That's some serious size and toughness.
Nothing against KAT, who's great. Better than I-Hart or Julius, but we lose something that we had when 100% healthy last year. We also lost Donte in trade. The team added a lot too. But they were tougher before. Nothing they could do about I-Hart. OKC could offer him a lot more money. And I'd do the KAT trade again in a heartbeat. Probably the Mikal trade too, but it's interesting to look back at what they had last year.

As much as we sh** on KAT
We won that trade, Julius putting up absolute stinkers in not one but TWO games in this round, scoring 6 and 5 points in games 2 and 4 respectively
Meanwhile KAT won us game 3 in Detroit, and won us game 3 in Indy
If we dont get to the finals, KAT has still outperformed the pieces he was traded for and its not even close
