OKC is the prohibitive favorite. For Denver to win they'll need:
A. OKC to shoot abnormally bad.
B. Murray to play like "Playoff Murray." Since G5 vs LAC he's turned in 1 great game.
C. Jokic has to play like he did in G5/6.
D. They need the good Russ.

If he's playing with a grade 2 strain, he's crazy. To put in perspective, steph was grade 1 and a week minimum of recovery.

What AG is attempting is more reckless and stupid than it is tough and gritty. We saw this with OG last year, 5 minutes, -6, looked awful physically.

He won't be able to sprint. That's all that matters. He won't be able to stay on the floor. And OKC would just attack him defensively at every opportunity. This is silly.

Doranku wrote:Very strange to see Nuggets fans admitting defeat and actively rooting against their team? If they win this game, they can win a ring even without Gordon. Minneosta, Knicks, and Indiana are all much worse teams than OKC.

It's not just that they won't have AG for this game - and the entire TWolves series if they win - it's that MPJ is playing with one arm and likely will be for however long they last until he gets surgery in the offseason.

Even if they beat OKC, they'd effectively be without two key rotation players for the rest of the playoffs and into the finals.

Even though the upcoming matchups are winnable, there's only so much your two stars can do.

If he actually has a grade 2 strain, there is zero chance he will be effective. That's a month-long injury. Even a grade 1 strain is 2-3 weeks.

Yea, this AG playing sounds like a terrible idea. Even if they win because of his play, seems like he's likely making things worse for the rest of the playoffs in terms of his health.

It's funny how people call out foster so much, but I believe analytically he's one of the most accurate refs IIRC

If it's grade 2, there is absolutely no way he'd play. Either the Nuggets are lying about the severity of the injury, or they're just trying to delay the official announcement of him being out as long as possible.

This may be a dumb question but can they give an injection for that?

I'm not an expert but I think injections are for painful injuries that won't worsen, so you're just trying to help the player fight through the pain. Playing on a grade 2 hamstring strain seems like there would be significant risk to injure yourself further. If it were possible, you wouldn't have seen it sideline Curry this year or Chris Paul in 2018 for example.

Pain injections are tricky and can worsen your injury. I know it's not the same but Luka was taking pain injections entire Finals vs Boston and 1 month later was still hobbled when he played for his NT and he even had problems when the next season started.
If Nuggets can do something about it i'm sure they'll do it, but even though situation or injury is different, it can still leave you with lingering consequences. And if Nuggets do win, AG might be completely out for entire WCF and possibly finals as well.

I can’t believe he’s playing. This one game isn’t worth it. It’s just not worth long term injury. This is ridiculous

Looks like AG is playing, which is crazy tbh. P Watt or Zeke Naji should have been at the 4 at tip off
