Kevin Durant
But I want PG off this team about as bad as I wanted Horford gone when he was here so there's that.
Would you do that?
If I was confident in Embiid's health (and KDs...) I'd certainly be tempted. Even if I just knew I'd get 1 for sure season with the team being healthy.
But you can't keep doubling down... Right?
I think you need to come away with a high upside, cost controlled young player and let things ride with the Maxey/PG/Embiid trio.
The two timelines approach kinda feels like it could work here for the simple fact that they've shown that they can bottom out pretty hard if guys aren't healthy, so you're not stuck in no-man's-land Bulls territory.
Let me be clear about even suggesting the idea
It's not about actually wanting KD, but lets not pretend like moving Paul George will be easy. Using the #3 pick in this scenario may be the most optimal way of getting rid of that contract. I don't have a problem with PG the player insomuch the terrible contract. Hell, I would even entertain a PG for Bradley Beal swap (Beal has one less year left I think) in order to keep #3. My sole agenda this offseason is getting rid of Paul George, in the most optimal and realistic way possible.
