Offseason Question #11: Who Should The Jazz Draft?

Post#1 » by Inigo Montoya » Sun May 18, 2025 3:56 pm

Now that the lottery is behind us, the Jazz will most likely be forced to pick whomever is left between Tre Johnson, Ace Bailey and V.J. Edgecombe. Who would you prefer to drop to the Jazz?

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I voted for Johnson, and would be also happy with Bailey. It's not that I'm down on Edgecombe and think that he sucks, it's just that I don't see star potential.

My feelings are the same as yours.

If we can’t trade up and nothing exciting is available at 5, I’d trade down for Demin or Bryant.

What's exciting at 5, assuming Flagg and Harper are gone?

Pretty much nothing so trading down is my choice, if trading up is not a possibility. I’d also see if San Antonio bites on Markkanen and #5 for #2, #14, and whatever crappy contracts they want to send.

who''s left out of Ace VJ or Tre. All three are there then go with who interviews best and who you like. BPA

Tre Johnson is my vote as of right now. If Ace falls to us I’d be happy.

If Ace and Trey are both gone I’d seriously look to trade out of the lotto. Find a team willing to send two unprotected picks for the #5. Make sure one of those conveys next year.

Who the I think the Jazz are likely to draft:
- Tre Johnson (40%)
- Ace Bailey (30%)
- Jeremiah Fears (20%)
- VJ Edgecombe (10%)
