We are both from Indy, I grew to love the Knicks in the 90s from all the battles we had. I silently cheered for the Knicks through many cook outs and gatherings. My brother followed my fandom for the ravens in the nfl but he has been a pacer fan no matter what

Game 1 might be a loss. Let's see how prepared Thibs comes. I feel like he needs to be punched in the face before he knows what to do to prepare.

You know what? I've been warning about the Pacers' tricks and gimmicks...

Screw that. Just go in with the Game 6 mentality against Boston and eff those dudes up.

I would bet money Game 1 will not be a loss.

Knicks in 5, it's an awful matchup for the pacers. If you can't rebound how are you going to run up and down the court?

IN MSG - only way it's a loss is if the NBA gets involved (you know what I mean - foul calls, etc.)

Our biggest mistake would be to underestimate the Pacers -- just like the league underestimated us in Rounds 1&2.

Although our chances may be good, we have to go in with the mindset that this will not be easy, that every win must be earned, and that we are in no position to take ANYTHING for granted!

Don't celebrate too soon, fam.

We played them this year. Went 2-1.
Have they gotten that much better since we played them?

On edit:
Just to be clear- the bucks didn’t have Lillard for the first couple of games. In the Cavs series they didn’t have their main guns for atleast 2 games. Indy still has to prove that they even belong in the ECF for me. Not to mention, I’m looking at our personal vs their’s. I don’t see them taking 4 games from us.

All the knicks have to do is lead with elite defense. Period.

I see this series going 7 but only if we win Game 1, which is the most important game outside of 7. If we lose Wednesday, get ready for Haliburton/SGA finals.

Note: My mindset is always to expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised by the best. If we come out playing our best ball while staying healthy, we damn near sweep. But in reality, our guys are massive procrastinators who want nothing easy and seem addicted to the drama. And then there’s Coach Maniac increasing risk of the unspeakable which shall not be spoken. Good thing this year belongs to us. Knicks in 7.

PS: I’ll be at Game 1 in need of a lozenger by the 2Q. Knicks are 6-1 this season in games I’ve attended.

Health condition: check
Team morale: Super high
Coaching differential: not as high as people think
Matchup wellness: Near perfect
Home advantage: check
Referee preference: unknown

This Pacers team is pretty much the same team adding back Mathurin, which is another source of firepower. A steady and healthy roster certainly helped their chance, however even with that being counted they are still not better than Boston, with slight edge over the playoff Pistons (minus Stew and the rookie).

From our team's point of view, one may argue we are playing only two complete games and still have enough to beat the reigning champion (with Tatum playing 3.8 games) a 4-2. This team still has a lot of untapped potential that may get even better on both sides of the court.

Hence not to disrespect our opponent, the major challenges for this team will be the adaptability of the reffing, the healthiness of this team and their on court performance.
Are you fans of the team or the player?

Facts.

I just dont think some Knick fans understands what type of Willpower it took for the Knicks to beat that Celtic team being down 20 in back to back games in the TD mad house. Then to get blown out twice yet, keep it together mentally and close the Celtics out they way they did. And I'm suppose to believe a front running Hali team is going to take 4 games from us. Mitch and Deuce have been activated...I dont have a doubt in my mind that we wont win this series.
The only doubt I have is if the league wants X amount of games played and thats one of a couple of reason I didnt bet on the series.
