Leafs might want to consider pulling the goalie for the man advantage right about now.

Seth Jones has been killing it my goodness. If the Leafs don't win a cup by the end of the decade just delete the franchise.
It's doubly true since Auston Matthews is just the NHL version of Embiid.

I was hoping for a competitive game at least, win or lose....not to turn the game off halfway

Re: OT: Leafs/NHL Thread
Florida is just by far the better team. You'd need to add 3 or 4 star players to the leafs to ice an equal squad.
Simply can't spend that much time in your own zone.
I bet no other team even comes close to taking the Panthers seven games. They probably only lose one or two more games before winning the cup.
Leafs did well to make it 7 even though they needed alot of luck to do it. Out of 21 periods ...the leafs probably only outplayed them in one or two of them.

This looks like an older bro just beat up their little bro. Just insane how badly Leafs are getting dominated.

The Leafs are never going to win the Stanley Cup. Like, in what universe is that going to happen?

Does our nepo baby GM have the authority to blow up this dumpster fire, or will Shanahan/Ed force him to stick with this core because the team prints money?

Only way I can see it happening is if they clean house from top to bottom all the way up to ownership and picks a new city and maybe a new team name.

Re: OT: Leafs/NHL Thread
Surprised leaf fans always have hope, but it’s the same crap. Mathews is demar on ice, folds in the playoffs.

The Leafs are a money printing machine. Doesn't matter whether the product is good or bad, people will show up, especially the suits who use Leafs tickets as business expenses and convert it into a tax write off come tax season.
The only way to give ownership the message is to simply stop buying merch, going to games and watching them altogether. Let's face it: not happening. The fan base is similar on and off the ice in the sense that they'll take being slapped in the face with a cold wet fish and do nothing about it. With the way the cap is right now, barring any internal development success stories get used to it.
There's more spine in a funeral home and cemetery than there is in any of the Leafs players on the ice.
