SGA is getting the MVP, but let's not act like this series proves he's better. Gordon and MPJ were hurt, Murray is inconsistent, Westbrook has a low IQ, etc. Denver depends on Jokic FAR more than OKC does of SGA. Jokic is the true MVP.

It's ok to do that, but people will call it out.

In that game SGA scored 40 points on 32 FGA. OKC won big.

And then Denver won the next night. Jokic had 35/18/8, on the back to back.

Jokic was ok but not as great in the first game.

Maybe if he had taken the previous game off, he would have been in better shape.

Your true MVP was locked up by Caruso.

SGA is the MVP and Jokic still the best basketball player on earth.

Denver fired their coach and made a hell of a run with jokic coaching the team in time outs and the crap going on in the front office. Maybe Denver retools with Giannis or bucks retool with Jokic…

but if Curry can get KG why can’t these two natural fits play together for the good of planet earth?!?

But yeah if SGA gets the title and MVP he will be right there with Giannis and Jokic as the best post Curry and LeBron because he led a squad to a ring and has a MVP- fmvp.:. But he has to close it now

People say things like this as if they’re black and white but they’re not. On any given night a few people could probably fit that title and Jokic is definitely one of them.

So does Ant get the crown when he beats SGA? And does Brunson then get it when he beats Ant in the Finals?

It was nice having this be the first post I saw when I opened the thread.
Spoiler:
Cuz OP is blocked.

Also, it would've been 4-0 or at best 4-1 in that scenario.

No disrespect to anyone. They're all great.

Or what could really screw up everything for the media and all narratives is if the Pacers win and where does that mean they rank Halliburton? The media and NBA fans wouldnt know what to talk about and what conclusions to draw if the Pacers were to win the title because it'd probably rank as the most unexpected NBA title in league history.

Shai has to come take it. Joker hasn't been relevant in the playoffs in years. It's okay. Nuggets fans can join us Lakers fans. 8-)

Still haven't recovered from Jokic/Denver owning LA for the past 4 years.

Copium is a hell of a drug though.

Of course, he wouldn’t. Denver’s roster would be too guard heavy.

OKC are a strong all around team... Nuggets are Jokic and occasionally Murray. AG has been amazing but got injured at the wrong time, MPJ also injured. On top of that Nuggets have literally no bench lol...

This is the new NBA, last season Celtics showed us what it means if you have a stacked team, this season it's OKC. Nuggets pushing them to game 7 is an incredible achievement on its own.

They game isn't about pushing a series to 7 games it's about winning. "MVP" Jokic lost in his prime and has to wait another year to try again. Don't try to lower the bar for him.

Huh? I didn't lower the bar for him, i simply replied to OP's post saying there are levels to it. Nuggets lost to a much better and more complete team, that doesn't make SGA suddenly a better player.
In today's NBA you simply need a stacked team, Celtics proved it last year, OKC are proving it this year... Even Knicks have insanely good starting lineup and have emerged as a strong contender. Nuggets had no bench and 3 injured starters, one of them shouldn't have been even playing tonight.

I get the injuries and lack of depth—those are legit issues but let’s not pretend Jokic played well enough to win tonight either. He put up 22 points on 9-19 shooting, with 9 rebounds and 7 assists, but also had 6 turnovers and got outplayed in key stretches. He’s an MVP for a reason, but tonight wasn’t that. Excuses or not, if Jokic dominates, this is a different game. SGA on the other hand balled out.

Lol, it wasnt like SGA had role players popping off this series? He was better when it mattered, take the L jokers you are out in the 2nd round again, so much for an all time great choker.

LOL, Gordon was literally a hero all playoffs busting Jokic out of jail, OKC wins in 6 if Murray doesnt outperform jdub with the flu in game 6, Braun was big at times etc. Never 9 shots in a game 7 jokics fault, out in the 2nd round again like a true Embiid 2.0.

some of these hot takes are simply awful. Go away.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.
