I believe our roster is flawed but we are also better than we played in several of those games.

This can neither be confirmed nor denied. There is no video evidence of such a meeting taking place and refuse to disclose my location for the time frame in question.

Please clear your schedule for 25 and 26 June.

first game in a while that our whole team was looking for the extra pass (from the start of the game to the end). Somehow even Dort was decent passing the ball today.

Did Mark figure something out with Caruso on Jokic? If Caruso can defend Randle and we can play more 5 out that could be a key strategy against the Wolves.

caruso on jokic also solved murray problem. he'd just switch off the roll and wall murray.

that **** burned dort through the first 5 games.

Wow what a game as someone said Caruso was the mvp can’t believe how good he played joker. Man I hate to say it because I really like him but Chet is a pussy under the basket rebounding get pushed around can’t hold on to the ball and on a fast break gets ran down every time and loses the ball. Jdub finally had a great game, ij needs to go not mentally tough. I think we will really struggle with minnys height. I do believe kizz had Sam pissed of today lol.

should probably just enjoy right now and wait tomorrow but just hope we are not going to underrate the Wolves and play better next round because I think they are a worse match up than the Nuggets. They really have the size to bother us...from Mcdaniels/Naw and even Divincenzo. I didn't like the last games Shai played against his cousin because of match up issues and they know how to defend him. Gobert/Reid still an elite frontcourt and at this point they have almost the same depth as we do.

This should be a perfect series for a guy like Isaiah Joe but he can't handle the pressure...obviously he hit a very tough three during garbage time today.

Chet and JDub were drafted less than 3 years ago.
Cason was drafted 2 years ago.
Caruso and Hartenstein joined the Thunder last offseason.

It’s a very different matchup than Denver - I think we’ll have a much easier time defending Minnesota than Denver but I think they’ll give us more challenges scoring on them.

Minnesota doesn’t have anyone close to Jokic in terms of matchup difficulty. Randle is their best big offensively but he doesn’t have nowhere near the gravity or IQ that Jokic does and we’ll be able to defend him with single coverage. We have a lot of weapons we can throw at Ant - he’ll have his hands full with all the guards we can put on him.

Their size and ability to switch will test SGA and we will need others to step up and carry big time which was an issue through the Denver series.

It’s gonna be a close, low scoring dog fight of a series

Every so often Shai’s looks like Kobe to me. Anyone else see it?
Edit- well you have to click on the tweet to see his face.

I think Caruso can’t do it for long hence only today.

Or it was a desperate tactic that work.

It’s why the team is kind of inexperienced and physically and rhythmically, our players haven’t gotten their adult strength or figured out what works for them in the playoffs.

Even though Minnesota probably has the better overall defense compared to Denver, I actually think Denver had the better personnel to bother OKC, especially with the zone looks they threw at them. Jokic could just camp in the paint and absorb drives, he is slow but has great positioning but it only worked because Gordon was covering so much ground. He’s an elite help defender who can recover and close out on shooters at a high level, basically cleaning up any mess and erasing corner looks. Braun brought the ball pressure, MPJ (despite his cold shooting) stayed on because his length helped clog passing lanes and contest shots from the zone. Gordon was the glue guy that held it all together. That’s where Minnesota comes up short, they just don’t have that guy like Gordon who can make the zone work as well. Randle is way too slow to cover ground like that and whilt Naz Reid is a bit more mobile he still struggles with quick reads and consistent effort. So even if the Wolves are better defensively on paper, I don’t think they can replicate Denver’s zone without it falling apart.

If we trade for someone this offseason , who can be our Aaron Gordon or our Derrick white ?

need the team to be at 100% mentally tomorrow. Minny looks legit and they are hungry. Can't afford giving up home games anymore

I lean towards Caruso being a contributor for like low 20mins kind of role in the playoffs.

Looking for someone in the high 20s low 30s kind of minutes. Purely because we have assets .

yeah of course u are right we need to add another contributor. just think that caruso deserves being considered that "guy" from what he brought in the Nuggets series.

yesterday game saw that we can only trust 8 players (Jwill and Joe didn't play) and I still have mixed feelings about Wiggins in key POs games so our depth is not as strong as it looks. We can and we should easily package Joe+Kenrich+Dieng and picks for a good player in the offseason regardless of the outcome of those POs.
