Atlanta - Charlotte

Post#1 » by Godaddycurse » Sat May 17, 2025 4:11 am

Atlanta trade: 13
Charlotte trade: Mark Williams, 2026 worst of ORL/PHX/MEM/WAS 1st

Why for Charlotte: move on from Williams and consolidate for a 2nd lotto pick
Why for Atlanta: give Trae an established lob threat

Feels like an overpay for Atlanta. What we know is he's missed a bunch of games and a Lakers team desperate for a center with a narrow Lebron window failed him on medicals when they really wouldn't have wanted to.

Hard to see another team them come in and give a lottery pick for him and a bad first next year.

I expect him to stay in Charlotte, but if he gets moved, I suspect the return is very very light.

I agree with this. Building a base on Buffon (disappointing but still super young youth worth potentially kicking the tires on), and #22 seems like a good start.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Wouldn’t touch this for Atlanta either. Don’t need any more injury prone players.

At that point, what is the point in moving him? Better off keeping him and seeing how he goes next year.

Yes, hence the first 7 words you quoted. :D
