I think that's just Lonzo being a clown. I didn't hear him say that we would trade up for Harper only that the Hornets would draft Harper and melo would go to the Clippers. That's just ball family fantasy fiction because we all know that's the ball brothers dream location. There was also another clip where he was laughing at the Hornets for always picking in the top five. Like dude, we're in the top 5 because your brother can't stay **** healthy.

I don't think they'd say that stuff if Melo didn't at least somewhat agree with it. Seems like a real good way to make him mad otherwise.

Like, we're in such a bad spot the family of our star player openly make fun of us.

At this point, I'd just trade Melo to the highest bidder. Feels like we're just delaying the inevitable with him.

Eh you’re looking way too far into it. Even the guys around him laughed. They’re all just bull ****

Joking or not, this wouldn't happen to any other team. It's just a really bad look when the family of your star player literally makes fun of the team he's on. And it's not the first time they've (Ball family) fantasized about Melo not being in Charlotte anymore.

Yeah, that’s true. I almost wish what he said was true. Give me Harper at 4 whatever future picks the clippers have (I’m assuming none so the trade won’t happen anyway) and 2 of their solid role players.

I don't think this was a just joking situation. If your brother openly says he wants you in LA you better believe it has been discussed.

If I'm not mistaken Lavar had mentioned something about wanting LaMelo in LA playing for the Clippers in the past.

It's a uncomfortable conversation, but if we don't start winning it's going to be pushed not only by the Ball family, but the Nat'l media as well.

No, just the people who knew Lavar was gonna be a problem once Melo was drafted.

Or... we could actually try to win games instead of tanking for a top 5 pick and collecting picks for job security.

Lose-lose for Melo. Either he is open to leaving because the organization sucks and we aren't serious about winning, or Melo is fine staying here no matter how bad we are and he doesn't care about winning.

LaMelo missing half the season is not helping us either. He plays a huge part in our success.

This would be like a Jazz fan saying the biggest issue with their record this year was Lauri only playing 47 games.

crucial year really. Lamelo needs to stay on the court, Charlotte need to start winning.

Neither of those 2 happen, then I think they're forced to do something. Or if Melo's injuries continue badly, we just might be stuck with him and he becomes a bad contract.

probably the biggest story for Charlotte Hornets.

Whenever the discourse about the league forcing Edwards as the face of the league, I get sad thinking that for the first time in franchise history we have a guy that has all the flair and talent to be the face of the league but due to a combination of his own faults, our front office, and bad luck, that is not happening.

Not even doing marginally better in Lamelo's era than Kemba's era (atleast winning a playoff series) would he another daming moment for a franchise full of daming moments.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

The Hornets need to start winning, plain and simple. Banking on lottery luck year after year just isn’t cutting it anymore. If I’m this frustrated, I can only imagine how Melo feels.

LaMelo needs to get his ass in the gym and do exactly what Moussa is doing.

That's why he's still a twig that can't draw fouls or make it through an entire season.
