This whole situation is really a historic chance. People under 25 may not appreciate it as much and may think we will have multiple runs and everything but this is a historically great chance to make the finals and potentially win it. None of the remaining teams is unbeatable, all teams have had their moments of vulnerability. I just hope our team really seizes this opportunity and does not come out flat.
I know that making the ECF is already a pretty positive outcome for the season. But at this point a potential loss to Indy after what happened last year would be really dissapointing, it would almost negate that Boston series win to be honest. For me at this point, making at least the finals would make this season a true true success. I wouldn't be saying this if we were going up against a healthy Cleveland squad with no HCA. But going against Indy after last year with HCA I feel like we should pull through. This opportunity may not present itself again in decades.

if the knicks hit shots it won't matter either way
indiana's defense isn't great and Cleveland got whatever they wanted, just couldn't hit. even with Cleveland shooting terribly in the series and indy shooting 50/40, the series was still 114ppg cavs to 117ppg indy. Cavs still kept up with a broken offense that shot 29% from 3.

I really wonder why someone would wear a rival team's jersey on the street at night, especially when there is no Pacers game that night to justify such behavior. That is simply inviting trouble.
If this happened in the UK, Argentina, or any country with intense British football (soccer) rivalries, and someone did the same as this poor Hicks fan, much "massive" objects would surely be thrown.
Yeah same here. Still I'm against throwing a trash can at someone but I still agree to a certain degree....if you put on a Haliburton jersey and walk up there, basically your sole and only idea and mission is to try to get under people's skin. Your whole intention is nothing else than trying to stir up stuff and be destructive. So he kinda got what he was asking for.
Windhorst was a different story....really poor taste throwing anything at him. Dude is usually really respectful. Can't blame him for thinking the Celtics would have the upper hand.

Garbage take.
idk if you've seen, but there's a video circulating of him actively trolling and taunting the fans before trying to get away

Brunson is our engine and Rick is gonna do something different to stall the engine. There is no way this dude rolls out with 1 on 1 coverage with Nembhard or Neismith who have both historically been cooked by JB. I hope Tom is ready with a counter.

I think Indiana is very dangerous despite being the inferior team on paper. I don’t even think they’re particularly tough… but I certainly respect Siakam. He’s a nice player.

After that Celtics series I think we can beat OKC too, especially considering how well the Nuggets defense held up against them.

All they can do is the same old thing, which is Siakam or Nesmith on KAT and Turner on Hart, and that might not work as well as it has for other teams because it means Hali is on Mikal. They try their best to hide Haliburton, but when he has to defend....
Look at his defense in this, Mikal should have the series of his life if Tyrese is guarding him.

I think the four remaining teams are closer than most people think. Most have Thunder winning fairly easily. I don’t think they’ve looked dominant against Mem or DEN… I actually think Minny can beat them and I’ll pick Minny on 7. I think we can compete with anyone at this point. Our talent is as good as anyone. First things first… Indiana. Another nice test that I think will pass.

He is but OG was holding him to 16/8 in games 1 and 2 last season before getting hurt. You can see how Siakam's production instantly jumped up after that. With OG and him and Mikal on Haliburton I think we'll be able to limit their two best offensive options.

Trying to beat these hippy allegations like they're a pacer fan at a knicks party.

Yeah, the hippy allegations were wrong, definitely an anarchist that will transition to being more peaceful in your 60-70s.

Completely agree. OKC has looked pretty beatable in the postseason and I think the Minny series will be very very close. Like Ant and SGA will even each other out but then I actually have Randle over Williams. None of the Thunder frontcourt players can keep up with Randle's physicality. I really don't see any sort of matchup advantages for OKC.
And McDaniels on SGA is going to bother SGA. McDaniels is an excellent defender that is 6'9 with long arms and all that. Both their games late in the season were close and they split them. And guess what? Neither Randle nor Gobert played in either of those games while OKC was pretty much healthy. This series is going to go 6 or 7 games.
Let me say this as a non-Randle fan that really didn't like how he handled certain things here. No one on the Thunder will be able to deal with Randle. He is too strong for Williams or Holmgren and too quick for that other Williams or Hartenstein. Dortz is too short IMO. If Randle brings it the way he has done these playoffs, Minny will beat OKC. I actually like Minny's top 8 more so than OKC's top 8. Heck even if SGA/Williams vs. Ant/Randle end in a tie, I like chances of DD,Conley,McDaniels, Reid and Gobert outplaying Holmgren,Hartenstein, Dortz, Caruso,Joe. It will be close and can go either way but the experience factor may loom large here.

Been thinking about this myself. I'm leaning towards them doing exactly what they did last season. The full court press was obnoxious and dare I say boring.

Re: GT: ECF:@Knicks vs Pacers: Wed: 5/21/25: TNT; 8pm
My concerns going into the series were mainly about giving the pacers too many open 3s, but their volume isn’t as high as I thought: they do rank 9th in 3PT% but only 21st in 3PT attempt rate and 17th in FT rate. So they do the majority of their damage inside the arc where they rank 4th in the league in 2PT%.
We’re actually healthy going into this series vs last year, especially with OG being able to guard siakam who became a problem. The pacers are obviously talented but I’m still confident we can win the series. Mitch could be the X factor yet again so hoping the best for him.
