These are QB's I'd rather have than Purdy in a random, NFL game.

Honestly, healthy Tua is also better. This was a massive, massive overpay and will haunt 9er fans for the next 7 years...

- Lamar Jackson
- Josh Allen
- Patrick Mahomes
- Joe Burrow
- Jayden Daniels
- Justin Herbert
- Jordan Love
- Matthew Stafford
- Jalen Hurts
- Kyler Murray
- CJ Stroud
- Trevor Lawrence
- Caleb Williams

Great list I have no issues with.

Purdy is his golden child.

Both Tua & Purdy benefit greatly from scheme & playcalling. We saw what happened to Garoppolo when he left & played for a different coach. Things did not go well for him.

I would agree with a lot of those names on the list. I'm not a huge Kyler or Lawrence fan. Caleb still has a long ways to go. But otherwise it's solid.

Good to know I have your approval.

You think Dak should be included?

I have no faith in Dak. Not sure where he belongs.

You don’t get paid by your ranking. You get paid for being next.

Josh Allen just got paid & he's making less than Dak (aav). Which is nuts. But these guys are making less than him & got their extensions done post Dak.

If anything Dak's agent deserves a raise.

I'm not a fan of Shanahan. In fact I believe the 49ers would be better off if they replaced him because he's already hit his coaching ceiling, which is to get outreached in the Super Bowl on key plays by Spags.

But I get why he gave Purdy this contract. After the disastrous Lance trade, which really should have cost him his job, Purdy came in and put up great numbers and got the team to the SB. He won those playoffs games vs. the Packers and Lions.

All those other higher-pedigree QBs have much higher ceilings because they have superior physical and athletic attributes.

But most of them may never hit the ceilings for various reasons. Look at the drama going on now with Caleb. He may turn out to be one of the biggest busts in history and he and his father will blame the Bears but it sounds like they are ready to self-sabotage. He should rely on his HC, because his father hasn't done him many favors.

The ones I don't think are better:
- Kyler Murray
- Jordan Love
- Trevor Lawrence
- Caleb Williams

The ones I wouldn't want to have in the playoffs:
- Lamar Jackson (although he improved)
- Justin Herbert

It's hard to shake off the 7th rounder label, took Brady more than 10 years.

Caleb Williams, Jordan Love, just wow.

Looks like they wanted to get the Purdy deal done to extend Warner.

Someone is gonna tear an ACL (in practice or game for the Olympics) and that is going to be interesting.
