Been thinking about this myself. I'm leaning towards them doing exactly what they did last season. The full court press was obnoxious and dare I say boring.

That should open up a lot more Hart drives to the basket….been missing that this post season

So they do the majority of their damage inside the arc where they rank 4th in the league in 2PT%.

We’re actually healthy going into this series vs last year, especially with OG being able to guard siakam who became a problem. The pacers are obviously talented but I’m still confident we can win the series. Mitch could be the X factor yet again so hoping the best for him.

Everyone healthy is the big difference between last season and this.

if the knicks hit shots it won't matter either way

indiana's defense isn't great and Cleveland got whatever they wanted, just couldn't hit. even with Cleveland shooting terribly in the series and indy shooting 50/40, the series was still 114ppg cavs to 117ppg indy. Cavs still kept up with a broken offense that shot 29% from 3.

A game plan revolving around the Knicks consistently hitting more shots than the Pacers without throttling their offense is not one that gives me confidence.

Reasons why I think NYK will prevail over IND:

-> JB is the best player in the series
-> They don't have someone who can consistently shut KAT down
-> Mitch/Hart/KAT/OG will throttle them on the boards
-> We're playing our most confident ball of the season on both ends (ie closest to our full potential as we've ever been)
-> We remember the end of last year
-> IND has had softer opponents in these playoffs so far
-> Wingstop (OG, Mikal, Hart) have turned it up defensively big time so Siakam/Hali won't have it too easy
-> Mitch and Duece have been as good as any bench tandem this post season

NYK in 5.

hate posting this boomer but stats like these will swing this series

The Xitter post didn't display, but read this and it is indeed one of the most salient comments on a unique strenght we have in this series. Fred Katz is among the best.

KAT can easily be the second best player in this series

Sounds like they are going into this series with the expectation he is going to have to shoot.

In the 3 games this season:

KAT - 30 PPG
JB - 22 PPG
Hart - 22 PPG
OG - 19 PPG

All three games Mitch did not play.

I think its safe to say this is the least formidable defense we will be playing this post season.

Throw regular season out of the window. We’re prime examples of that.

I think Indy will have Turner on Towns.

Josh needs to shoot it.
