The article offers two video examples.

On the first he legit just fell trying to get too fancy. Nothing about that was a flop.

On the second, that’s a foul every time and he made the bucket. Look at it from the baseline.

I turned last night's game off pretty early. It's not a watchable product. If you allow SGA to use his off arm to clear space, you can't give him touch calls. If you allow the Thunder to play very physical defense, you can't give SGA touch calls. I'd be very surprised if the two calls given as examples in the article were the only suspect calls, but again, I turned off the game.

Thunder has a small fanbase, so ofc most people are calling him that. It doesn't make it true.

And just because you are a Thunder fan doesn't make it untrue. Maybe take a step back and have some perspective, because every 'argument' you've laid out so far is a either very flawed or a straight up fallacy.

They were fine with Leflop. Shaiflop should be fine along with Lukaflop and DWadeflop.

ChrisPFlop is smiling the flop title is off him.

It really does appear that in a playoff season which the refs seemed to have swallowed their whistle and allowed more contact for the most part they also seemed to have brought their regular season whistle for this guy.

Right who needs evidence when you have a narrative you want to push

It's not a narrative, it's a reality that some basketball fans do not enjoy watching SGA and that therefore they may decide to pass on watching OKC games. I think everybody would prefer to enjoy watching the product.

As you know, the number free throw attempts is not necessarily indicative of how a game is officiated - it applies both at the team and player level. With SGA, it's not so much about volume as it is about how he manufactures some of these free throws.

How is it a "reality" when "some" people do not like SGA?

Both cannot be logically coherent. It's only your reality homie.

Much like the kick he delivers to the defender to draw contact and get the call.

I'm a Cavs fan. Either let both teams play physical defense, or allow neither team to do so, but games with different rules for different teams aren't particularly entertaining.

Or the kick he delivered squarely up your team's two mini marbles and micro sized worm.

You guys? You must be confused...I wasn't playing in the game last night, I doubt anyone on this forum played last night so there are no 'you guys' losing here...

There's no 2 different sets of rules. Blaming the refs excuse is as old as time. It's a desease: the inability to admit their team played like ass.

Even number of fouls called, Minny shot 30 more threes.

You even admitted you turned off the game.

These blanket statements would have more weight if folks wanted to offer any semblance of proof other than vibes.

Agreed.

shai's free throw rate in the playoffs is marginally higher than it was in the regular season. league free throw rate is marginally higher in the playoffs than it was in the regular season. none of this is out of line. shai flops, he tries to get calls, he does whatever he has to do to get to the line because he shoots 90% there. i get some fans don't like that, but it's been part of nba basketball for decades now. reducing shai's brilliance to flopping is lame and disrespectful and tbh i feel sorry for anyone who has to "turn the game off" because the thunder are such unique standouts in other ways that i wouldn't want to miss.

after last year's playoffs the thunder have developed a calculated approach on defense that is physical and challenges refs to make lots of touch calls. they can only play defense like this because of the talent they have. on the other end they drive the ball to the rim more than anyone in the league and challenge refs to make touch calls there. it led to one of the worst free throw rate differentials in nba history during the season. but it's an expected trade-off that is paying dividends now in the playoffs. even if you don't like it, the thunder deserve credit for it.

You don't know what my team is but it must be a miserable life to be so cucked in your psychology. I wouldn't understand your torment of self identity with things outside of your control since I don't have it, but I can imagine that pain is great.
