Finally ran into the "scaling" issue at level 15 in Oblivion remastered, and while it certainly is a pronounced leap in enemy difficulty, I think people are much too used to games like Skyrim and being able to just juggernaut their way through hordes of enemies. I'd argue that taking on 3-4 enemies at once is never a smart idea until you've maxed your key skills/attributes anyways. And remember, conjuration magic and potions are your friend.

I actually like when the scaling really hits. It makes the game much more strategic and you can't just barrel through everything like you said. I'm a huge conjuration nerd so I'll gladly summon some cool stuff, pop some alteration spells, and go ham with my enchanted weapons.

And once you get through the 2nd to last mages guild quest, you get one of the most OP destruction spells in the game.

And really, if you wanted to do this you still can. Just pour all your skill development and attribute points into heavy armor/blade/block and strength/endurance respectively. Running a tank build in OG Oblivion was always my go-to and I never had any issues clearing out dungeons/ruins. My advice to people would be to just find a playstyle that you enjoy and stick to it. Don't try and get cute and make a jack-of-all-trades type class from the start, cuz that's pretty much the one way you'll end up getting screwed once you hit level 15. You can always build out a more well-rounded character and focus on your lesser skills in the mid-late game.

Gave the new Doom as much of a chance as I could before uninstalling it (about seven minutes).

I was given a download code with my 5080 and it is saying I don't have a 50-series installed (I do), so the code won't work. Glad I'm not missing much.

I may just come back from vacation with a new POE1 league...and possibly even endgame expansion. Possibly the boat league of legend. Possibly with Zana.

I need this.

Depends if you are a novice or not but I would recommend starting here. I work in the Home Inspection world and this is what we recommend for our students.

My concept for an 8-bit video basketball game incorporating characters from the beloved animated comedy "King of the Hill" is tentatively titled "Double Gribble" do not feel free to use my legal team of several Grubers will insure this is a big deal

Make it an NBA crossover and I'll fund the Kickstarter myself.

Dang that stinks. I had some issues on PC (screen tearing) and the only way to fix was to turn down the settings dramatically. Are you on a Pro or just the original? Don't think they've put out any noteworthy patches yet either.

Really? I'm on the Series X and I didn't notice any performance issues. Everything was smooth and ran perfectly. I wouldn't think the PS5 would be different.

Base ps5. It's fine indoors/dungeons but the frame rate stutters nearly nonstop in the open world. Oh well I guess

So what you are saying is I should wait for PS6 before I buy GTAVI?

GT7 is so **** good. I probably sank 100 hours into it and I'm sure it's gotten even more content since release. A car enthusiast's dream. Peak GT.

I can also vouch for Horizon 7, which I probably sank 30-40 into. It's just a totally different experience - arcade vs sim, so pick your poison (or double-dip!).

Did you play GT7 using a race wheel or using a controller? I think it would be fun to use a wheel, but it seems like a decent setup would set me back a few hundred.

I just use the DS5. I thought about a setup like you're talking about too, but ultimately decided that I'd need to play GT/other racing games as like my 'main thing' to be able to justify the investment.

I ended up getting GT7, as it was on sale. I wouldn't quite describe myself as a "car enthusiast," but I've found the game difficult to put down. The realism is quite immersive, even as I've found trying to nail a corner precisely to earn a gold trophy during a license exam to be a bit frustrating. It hasn't stopped me from trying and trying again, though.

I do think that a wheel/pedals/shifter would be a game-changer in terms of precision. I don't think I can quite navigate the appropriate force and handling using the DS5 yet, though that might come with time. What I'm really trying to talk myself out of doing is picking up PSVR2. Everyone I've read who plays GT7 with PSVR2 and a race wheel has said it's a mind-blowing experience. With my MQ2 collecting dust, I can't justify buying into another VR system, especially for only one game. But man, it sounds like it would be **** incredible.

Hadn't heard of this one before today.

Cowboy seemed to enjoy his time with it. Combat and crafting/alchemy seem like fun. It looks ugly as hell. If I wasn't an Arthurian honk I'm sure I'd pass, but it's also only $45. So I dunno. Maybe down the line.

Is it 1.0 now? It’s been on my wishlist for like 3 years. Agree it looks janky. It was supposed to be “hard Skyrim.”

Finished a Halo 2 campaign with my wife. What a giant step up from the original. I had to google to make sure I was correct that it released on the same system - an upgrade in every single area. The really jarring abrupt ending is really the only negative I have.
