I fear for the league when obvious foul merchants get celebrated. Prepare for more charging and fopping into defenders to get fouls.

Well deserved! Someone tell the dipshits in the NBA office that the NBA awards need to be announced before the playoffs and not in the conference **** finals.

it's tough not to have any rings to show for it up to this point, but the thunder's ability to acquire and develop talent is unmatched.

Almost 4 if you counted Harden which they let go to keep Kendrick Perkins of all people around

SGA was ahead in most impact stats and beat Jokic head to head, why are people crying?

He’s the best player in the world that plays using his body. A Center who elbows and bulldozes his way to the rim is going to get that treatment. Let’s keep this about SGA.

So what’s the excuse for the dude that just snaps his head back and throws himself to the ground? Yeah, congrats to SGA and the Thunder.

If that’s all you see in a player like SGA, then I don’t know what to tell ya. The favouritism and lack of objectivity is very apparent however.

Yeah awesome, let's delay the announcement as long as possible, to then have it "Shams bombed" to continue to build his reputation as the new Woj, who's whole career was to ruin any possible cool live reveal through a tweet  . The way this league runs it's marketing is so embarrasingly bad.

Well deserved.

If Jokic won it right now, that would feel very awkward for everyone.. because no, he didn't deserve it this year, clearly.
LeBron has a 17.8% field goal percentage and a 12.5% 3-point percentage in clutch situations, and also made 20 of 116 game winning/tying shots in 4th/OT during his career

Nah he’s an amazing all round player but he’s also one of the worst foul baiters in the league.

I think you might be projecting a tad.

Luka is rather entering in his decline so you might have to exclude him from your list.

I have no ties to Oklahoma City or Denver. I like both players fairly equally and they both foul bait due to the state of officiating from the NBA product. I’m not the one nit-picking and trying to bring down a well deserved mvp here.

Jokic should be 5x MVP...but I'm not going to complain about SGA winning it.

I don't like how the NBA waited until the Nuggets vs OKC playoff series was over to announce the award....that's lame

Congrats SGA! Another MVP for OKC, we really are lucky! Very close with Jokic but team success seemed to push it over the top as SGA has been knocking on the door for a while.

What makes you say he clearly didn’t deserve it? You think SGA was that much better individually than Jokic?

SGA lead in actual EPM and LEBRON which are two pretty good advanced stats.

I'm saying that

1. Shai was the best player on the best team

2. Shai outplayed Jokic in the playoff series

so it would be really really weird for Jokic to get the MVP when Shai clearly deserves it, and the series just proved that to those
that thought otherwise.

Do you factor in playoffs when considering who deserves MVP?

Jokic average a triple-double while shooting 41% beyond the arc . Not good enough to be the traditional formula of highest scorer and/or best player on the best team, apparently.

SGA won far more games, and putting up big numbers on a losing team was not a recipe for winning mvp in the past. Jokic already won two with poor records, you can't make the award a farce by giving it to him again.

Are you and Optms related by chance? Cause I've never seen you two do anything but constantly slander and hate on Jokic on this site. Literally nonstop. It's like y'all are the spokespeople for every salty Lakers fan  . It's hilarious.

1. SGA won far more games because he's on a far better team.
2. Jokic wasn't on a "losing team." They were literally the 4th Seed and 1/2 a game away from being the 3rd Seed.
3. Jokic has never won an MVP with a losing record.

Hope this helps.

I’m 99.99999% convinced they are the same person.

Which would be somewhat of a relief because it would mean only one person has such bewilderingly and consistently awful takes opposed to two people.
