Because their God Jokic didn't win it. It's that simple.

It really is a cult.

Plenty of Jokic fans have given SGA his due props.

Don’t try to force something that isn’t true.

The same people who will prop him up by saying he plays with milk men. The same milk men that prevented him from being swept by OKC and the same ones that helped him win his only ring.

Where do you rank Jokic’s supporting cast?

SGA - 950 total votes
Jokic - 900
Giannis - 300
Tatum - 200
Mitchell - 150

With 1st place votes

SGA - 65
Jokic - 33
Tatum - 1
Giannis - 1

I overestimated how close the top two would be back in March but I got pretty close on the 1st place votes.

I'd say firmly in the top 10. They aren't the most talented or the deepest team, he's had deeper teams over the years. But people seem to act like he plays by himself and when they lose it's all the supporting casts fault.

How about the Castle Black kid who opted to give Sam Presti credit over Shai?

Thunder, Celtics, Clippers, Cavs, Rockets, Warriors, TWolves, Lakers, Grizzlies, and Knicks. Which one of these teams has a worse supporting cast around their star than the Nuggets

it's tough not to have any rings to show for it up to this point, but the thunder's ability to acquire and develop talent is unmatched.

They just need to turn those players into rings. Maybe this will be the year?

Not even close. That was a sham. This one is well deserved.

Jokic is still the "better player", but the win difference + SGA's stats, even as a Nuggets fan, I know you couldn't really vote for anyone else.

LOL if Embiid didn't get injured 2 years ago, what would have you called him winning that? The most dominant offensive season of all time is what he was on pace for. Nuggets fans, constantly proppin up their boy for advanced stats is the real sham, especially given how much of an advanced stats darling Embiid was in that year.

"If"
"On pace for"

Pushed himself too hard chasing a regular season award and his body, as usual, fell apart...

And then got bounced in the first round... :waaa:

Hard to argue against this. Best player on the best team, only reason this may be questionable is because Jokic had a historic season.

If the starters on the Nuggets are healthy there is plenty of talent. Murray is better then anyone SGA is playing with. Braun is a stud. Posters need to stop pretending that Jokic is playing with bums or something. What team would not love Gordon on it?

Jokic average a triple-double while shooting 41% beyond the arc . Not good enough to be the traditional formula of highest scorer and/or best player on the best team, apparently.

I'm not going to read this entire thread because it really doesn't matter no one changed their opinion. But I'll just tag on this post.. SGA had a gold level MVP caliber year. But I feel what the Joker did is strictly platinum..

You just can't have one of the greatest years in NBA history and not receive that award. Sorry.
