Lol yes there was. Celtics, a really good shooting team all season, were unable to buy a bucket for long stretchs. If they shoot 30% instead of 25%, they win both games easily. For reference, the worst team in the league shot 32% from threeNiceLikeChrist wrote:CoP wrote:NiceLikeChrist wrote:people overreacting to this don't even realize how many things had to go their way to squeak out a W
don't forget we missed 2 FT's and also had a missed goaltend that turned what would've been a 6 pt lead in OT to a 1 pt lead. pacers aren't winning the series, give me a break.
You sound exactly like a couple of my fellow Celtics fans after G1 of the 2nd round.
there weren't any miraculous shooting streaks, lucky bounces, or missed calls in our comebacks.
we just played our basketball and Celtics played their basketball and we came out on top because the Celtics couldn't hit shots like they thought they could.
it's completely different

The great rural America battle Silver always wanted.

Hopefully they can take it all the way to a championship!

Because the game was over. Defend the 3, or hit your free throws, and that’s it. They didn’t have all the time in the world to erase a deficit. And yet they did.
Go back to Bucks/Pacers game 5, and Pacers/Cavs game 2.
This is the 3rd time they've done it. This *might* be the best one of them, but still.
This is my first ever game as a temporary Pacers fan
Now tell me I’m not a pure luck ?

Road game 1 maybe? What a pointless graphic
It's first win in a game 1 of the ECF. Our ECF teams that faced the Heatles lost game 1 both times.
No, you won this game 1

That said I know if I'm a Knicks fan (which I'm not) they're better off losing now than in the Finals because those guys in Oklahoma will give Brunson a lot of trouble.

Me too, haha. Looked at the final four after Denver was eliminated, and this was an easy pick for most likeable team left.
