Took a historic shooting performance from Nesmith to make the crazy comeback. That wouldn't happen again if they ran it in a simulator 100 times. 1 out of 100 performance. Props to him though.

Hopefully it's a sign that the Knicks will be alright and handle business if it took that kind of performance for the Pacers to be able to come back and win.

even before nesmith had an out of body experience Indiana was playing a good game for them and they were down 14.

Here's what you're getting wrong. We weren't playing a good game before Nesmith caught fire. We were playing a fine game but we were shooting poorly from 3.

We shot 15/37 from 3 in the game, right? That's 40.5%.

In the final 3:30 minutes of the game (that's when Nesmith caught fire) and during OT, we shot 8/9 from 3. And that is indeed an incredible number that we cannot expect to replicate often.

So, what does that mean? It means that before those final 8:30 minutes of the game, we had only shot 7/28 from 3. That's only 25% and a horrible percentage for a team that is as good at shooting as we are.

Our horrible shooting up until that point was an important reason why you were up 14. But water always find its level and, in this game, it did so in an incredible fashion.

I know there was like a 31 point comeback by the Clippers in the playoffs a few years ago, but that might have been the greatest playoff comeback/worst playoff choke I’ve ever seen. Because the game was over. Defend the 3, or hit your free throws, and that’s it. They didn’t have all the time in the world to erase a deficit. And yet they did.

Brunson is a great young player.. but he works so hard to score points that an overtime game will absolutely do him in. That said I know if I'm a Knicks fan (which I'm not) they're better off losing now than in the Finals because those guys in Oklahoma will give Brunson a lot of trouble.
