Well if the Knicks had to lose a game with a historical collapse, I'm happy that it was Game 1 and not Game 7. Lot of basketball still to be played, and no reason to think that the Knicks couldn't control the rest of the series, like they controlled most of this game.

You win some games, you lose some games. The Knicks lost games to the Pistons, lost games to the Celtics, that's sports. And this is just one game out of best-of-7 series. Lot of basketball still to be played.

Brunson played one of the crappiest good games I've ever seen. A lot of unforced errors down the stretch.

We kept rushing when we needed to slow the pace. At the end but also throughout the game. Pacers style of play kind of lulls you to match.

That's what the Pacers want.. chaos. All he had to do was take a breath and move the ball around.

Just a couple things I’ll say after reading the thread:

1. A lot of people were talking about how Brunson and KAT were shook. I don’t think that’s true. I think they were gassed. 36 minutes vs the Pacers isn’t 36 minutes vs other teams. Go beyond 36 minutes and it’s tough. We’ve seen it throughout the season with Jokic tiring out, then in the playoffs with Giannis tiring out, then Mitchell tiring out. When you’re gassed, you’re not thinking straight, are more prone to errors, and your shots gunna be off without your legs fully under you.

2. Nesmith is one of the best shooters in the NBA. Scoring 6 threes in a row is wild for anyone, Curry included, but when an elite shooters sees a few go in, it’s always possible they catch fire, and tonight, he was on fire. BUT for those saying it’s a fluke, in the sense of 6 in a row, sure, that’s unlikely, but the dude is absolute a sniper. Pretty sure he was the only 50/40/90 player this season, and he’s led the Playoffs in 3P% over 50% I believe.

Lastly, Cap’n O and the dude with three random letters as his name(cbf maybe), y’all are just class through and through. Just want you to know I appreciate you guys.

Right. But they're pretty good at forcing the issue on the chaos. We just need to be more composed.

Lotta film to look at to show just that.

Brunson almost had like 4 TOs in the last 2 mins.

I am still confused about this one.. Like how do you not just dribble out the clock and force them to foul you?

The OG bounce pass, the ball going out of bounds off his fingertips.

Then you have sh#% like Josh Hart slipping in back to back plays. I said it at the time, "go rub your shoes on the mat! wtf?"

Just so many mental lapses. I was so happy for OT though. It was such a good game I didn't want it to end.

My other issue is Brunson has really goo teammates like Hart and Bridges.. use them. Bridges didn't sniff the ball for minutes and minutes. I would be upset. He's a good enough player for Brunson to give him the ball and be confident in him. I

Let's take a breath.. I predicted a long 7 game series. Brunson is still pretty inexperienced.. let's hope he learns from this.

In the last 3 playoff matchups with the Pacers, the Knicks had home court advantage every time. They still lost the first two series. Now down 1-0 and lost home court advantage this series.

Pacers have been owning their soul even post-Reggie lol.
