What i don't understand if your allowed to change a 2pt to a 3pt and vice versa from the replay center why can't they change a goaltend. If a Ref made a mistake in both these situations but one is allowed to be changed from the replay center and the other is not. Especially if a its blocked on the glass since that's always an automatic 2.

They have the worst net rating among rotation players in the playoffs - the only two in the red, and by a pretty wide margin.
We need more from them, period.
So we are definitely asking a lot from them.
For the playoffs, Mikal is at 40.2 mpg and OG is at 40.1 mpg
I have been looking at the minutes for all championship teams the last 25 years. 9 of 25 have had a pair of players that averaged over 38 mpg for the entirety of the playoffs.
'21 Bucks had Khris Middleton at 40.1 mpg and J'rue Holiday at 39.7 mpg
'18 Warriors had Draymond Green at 39.0 mpg and Kevin Durant at 38.4 mpg
'10 Lakers had Kobe Bryant at 40.1 mpg and Pau Gasol at 39.7 mpg
'09 Lakers had Kobe Bryant at 40.9 mpg and Pau Gasol at 40.5 mpg
'08 Celtics had Paul Pierce at 38.1 mpg, and both Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen at 38.0 mpg
'04 Pistons had Richard Hamilton and Ben Wallace at 40.2 mpg, and Chauncey Billups at 38.3 mpg
'00, '01, and '02 Lakers had Shaq and Kobe each averaging between 39 and 44 mpg for the entirety of the playoffs
So it can in fact be done, but man we are really pushing it to the limit.
OG is the 32nd highest paid player this year at $36.6 million. Next year, he is currently the 30th highest paid player at $39.6 million. We are paying him to be an all-star.
If Mikal gets his 4 year, $156 million max extension, he would be making pretty much the same money as OG.
So if Mikal and OG are hovering around the top 30 highest paid players in the NBA, I guess the expectation for them is to withstand the 40+ mpg they're getting in the playoffs and to out-produce Nesmith and Nembhard on both ends of the floor.

Re: PG: Knicks vs Indy: Game 1 ECF
Came across this video on reddit, I uploaded it to my youtube so we can talk about it here.
I know this is probably typical behavior from teams, but I can't lie I felt a sort of way after first seeing OG legitimately angry at KAT, and then seeing Jalen legitimately angry at KAT after whatever KAT said.
Knicks are up 5 at this point, and OG is furious. Mitch is trying to keep them from arguing with each other.
What do you guys think they're saying to each other here or arguing about?
Thankfully, KAT taps OG at the end as they head back to the court.

Re: PG: Knicks vs Indy: Game 1 ECF
I had this eerie feeling the Pacers would mount a comeback. I was bracing for it, stuck in this ambivalent space where you refrain from fully enjoying the moment to avoid getting hurt in the end.
That's what rooting for this franchise for about 20 years has taught me. Don't go all in.
Hopefully they can regroup and put forth a more serious performance in game 2. But we have now lost homecourt advantage, so we're facing an uphill climb in the series, not to mention with a loss of confidence. The team will need some strong leadership to regroup.
I have some OG thoughts I'm on the fence about sharing.

Haliburton is a cornball, that looked like a play (to take it to ot) you draw up in 6th grade. Lucky shot, lucky bounce. Move on to game 2 and be better.

Brunson is your best free throw shooter first why is he giving up the ball? Why is he throwing that pass to OG who has horrible hands. Of course the officials overturn the call because they always do vs the Knicks, you don’t let the officials decide the outcome. I know some are saying the knicks dominated for 45 minutes, which should give us hope, BUT remember, the c’s were in the same boat and lost the series.
Another stupid play yeah. 0g is bad, he just is. Brunson also threw it away to Josh but luckily he got it — was another asinine decision by Thibs, JB throwing it in lol
Brunson is overused by the clown coach. No creativity in how he uses Brunson or KAT and 0g is a weak as hell poor finisher
Thibs did this against Detroit at MSG, so it’s just happening a lot - he’s making inexcusable mistakes and needs to be removed
How do you take the players messing up and spinning it as the coach’s fault? Brunson had a career high 7 turnovers and the team missed 12 free throws along with countless defensive lapses.. this is 100% on the players and the players themselves
To me there’s a major disconnect here in your thinking
Dumb plays at the end go on the coach
He’s there to run a tight ship as it were lol
Micromanaging if he has to … 0g shoots too fast and it’s the coach
Even if it hurts the team, I’d like to see 0g benched. Guy is a selfish bum

I like Mitch but he comes back in and gives them absolutely nothing
When I saw him smirking at the refs about smthg very late he looked totally unfocused and that itself alarmed me
He came back like he was going through the motions
Way to go Tom, way to go. Tom is like post debate Joe. A totally obvious disaster

Likewise… those initial 3s from them in their comeback set that feeling firmly in me

Yeah, it’s done.
Pacers have something different this year. It’s OK to admit it. We don’t have what they have.
The Knicks came back from multiple double digit deficits to get to this point. We absolutely do have it and more, but the execution to end the game last night was a complete failure from the players and coaching staff. They literally pissed away homecourt.

Yeah I’m actually super curious to hear CB’s thoughts on 0g
I had no clue Nesmith was 48% from 3 and obviously Tom didn’t either … we had the one game of defending the 3 to close Boston and then right back to the same crap

I couldn't sleep good. Its not that we lost it's how everything unraveled. I personally think I need to take a step back.

Yeah, I feel ya on that, do what you must to protect your inner peace.
I refrained from posting last night because I was distraught. Woke up at 3am anxious and checked my phone to make sure I wasn't dreaming that we blew a 14 point lead with like 2 mins left. Nope. We did. A complete collapse.
The series is far from over, but right now I can't sugarcoat how devastated I am.

Re: PG: Knicks vs Indy: Game 1 ECF
what kind of environment these guys are in to just be ignoring or complacent when it comes to perimeter defense?
Look, if you are a pro-baller and you are aware the opponents are inclined to shoot and can get hot from the perimeter, why would you not defend it better? It's your assignment thats attempting or getting hot from 3, are you not going to defend him better when your pride as a defender is on the line here? Coaching instuctions be damned.
Why?
