These Giannis fantasies are fcken stupid

For god's sakes they are not about to gut the team to get him. They just built the team and it's a damn good one.

People seem to have no ability to live in the present and enjoy what we've got. All stuck in their heads spinning their wheels about something that WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

We said Mikal to the Knicks was a pipe dream

And KAT.....

And OG...

Two minutes ago you were enjoying the fact that your name matches up with the Knicks in Six vs. Boston

How can you enjoy any of this with constant fantasies about breaking up a team in the middle of a championship run?

It's a dysfunctional way to root for your team

Deuce/Kolek - The annihilating 2nd unit backcourt of the future!

The upside projection of those two players vs Divo's reduced performance level in Minnesota combined with the more favorable financial implications for their team is why there is a pretty good chance they do this deal or something similar (if we presented the offer)

Why are we running trade scenarios after getting to the ECF?

Let's enjoy the moment

Just a friendly warning to the next person who posts during the playoffs about trading away our team:

First off one can enjoy both.

Secondly dont just complain to complain. The name of this thread is 'Trades and transactions'. Its what this thread is for. If you dont want to take about potential trades and focus on the ECF only simply click on the appropriate thread and don't click on this one.

True, I'll give you that

I'll avoid this thread from now on, because you guys are out of your freaking minds and unable to enjoy what is right in front of you and it admittedly pisses me off

Carry on. Make trade proposals. I promise not to read them

Please just keep that nonsense inside this thread during these playoffs

Just like when we posted all those trades in the past about OG, Mikal, and KAT? And some folks will find a way to complain or be annoyed, it just in their nature. To find a million different reasons to justify a negative feeling toward another person....

Look....Fans are allowed to enjoy talking proposed deals any time and that is the very purpose of this thread. I do it all year regardless of how the Knicks are doing.

If that is not your thing.. great...no need to be all pissy about it Clyde. If you are the one unable to control negative feelings toward another, the problem isn't the other person.

Nor does that make me or anyone else any less a fan of the current team and I am absolutely 100% simultaneously enjoying this run.

I'll apologize. Like I said, you do your thing in the trade thread which is fair. All I ask is please keep it here during our playoff run. Thank you.

Not saying you're not a real fan though. I know you are just as crazy as the rest of us. We're all crazy Knicks fans.

I promise you. Jesus is so much real than a funny comedic act. Thats just the flesh. I encountered the love of God in the shelter , after losing everything and trying to commit suicide. Christ is the new wine reality of Son ship with God.

But we also had a the trove of assets. Now we only really have the assets needed to round out the roster we have now. The best thing going for us is any free agent who wants to ring chase and live in a great city has to have NY as a destination.

All we got are win now players, it just makes more sense for them to grab a legit 8th guy for the rotation.

The current roster is made very well.

The only reason Mikal wasn’t a pipe dream because of the historic overpay. No one thought Leon would pay 3x what Bridges is worth to any other team. Isiah Thomas wouldn’t pay that price.

We should be enjoying being in the conference finals, but looking at the knicks future is scary. A bloated cap sheet and no draft assets.

Man, I really like our top 7 guys. I honestly feel they are well rounded enough to win a championship.

The way Deuce and Mitch gel with our starters, it would be very difficult decision to trade them for any sort of upgrades.

We'll have the taxpayer MLE of $5.7 million. That will probably be just enough to spend on one player.

I think our biggest need is getting a tall wing who compliments OG and Mikal so they don't have to play 40 minutes a piece every game.

2nd biggest need is an upgrade over Cam Payne at back-up point guard.

I don't know - Leon is usually pretty good about pulling Rabbits out of hats. 8-)

We need a microwave scorer also off the bench. Somehow the Pacers found Nesmith off Boston. So not impossible we could find someone.

I'd like to do Giannis + Portis Jr. for KAT + HART + pick.

And then I would use the TAX MLE on a guy like Chris Paul or Bruce Brown for a season.

Portis / Giannis / OG / Bridges / Brunson w/ a bench of Mitch / Deuce / Chris Paul

And then extend Mitch and Mikal Bridges to lock this core together for several years.

And then kick the tires on Dan Hurley taking over the coaching gig.

I am wondering if there is a way the Knicks could move some pieces to get Cam Whitmore.

Do you think Thibs would play him? My concern would be that he would end up like Cam Reddish (who didn't work out for the Blazers or Lakers either, so Thibs was probably right about him)

Return to New York Knicks
