I don't like his takes on some other topics but the guy became super rich after studying the NBA so maybe he knows something

whenever he talks about sports i listen. goat nba bettor, and made it in a time where he needed to scout everything and build spreadsheets of his own.

not like today that there's 30 paid advanced stats website

he's a type of guy that should be on more broadcasts, he actually put money where his mouth was at

he's very high on Dort from the answers he gave me on twitter.

We can be pissed at him for several reasons but he's still an elite defender.

The non Shai minutes are very tough to watch. I know we have Ajay/Topic for next year but bringing a back up veteran is needed.

If we win everything I think the roster will be kept in tact for the most part. That being said, I think the ideal scenario is to keep as much depth as possible until the deadline next year. Use our depth for the first part of the regular season and then trade some for reliable scoring entering the playoffs and use a shortened rotation. Even doing this would still allow us to be deeper than most playoff teams.

I think Dieng will be replaced by a new rookie. With Topic (a top 5 draft pick before his injury) and one new rookie from this year (Presti will trade his 3 picks for one good) we are done for next season.

in a vacuum I would say that we should still need to add another piece but I couldn't care less what we do in the offseason if we win the championship.

I just hope we stay united on this forum to check on Kizz mental health during the summer if we win.

Just out of curiosity how would you describe Kizz's baseline mental health?

I would trade Dieng, Jones and maybe some seconds for a cheap pure shooter. Then take a big wing/forward with pick 15 and trade pick 24 (and whatever second you have to add) for some future conditional firstrounder.

At the Deadline we will have seen what Topic can do in his first season and then we can decide whether to trade for another good piece.

The question reads better when presented in the third person.

if the owners meeting decides for an expansion, will the expansion draft go right in 2025?

that's something to consider

i think something bigger will happen.

okc is just below second apron for 2025/26. that's second apron with rookies. and it's not necessary to dip into second apron just yet imo.

i think this is the season they make a trade around dort. he's really being outplayed by cason and caruso.

dort
isaiah joe
wiggins
dieng
kenrich
dillon

that's like 50 mm in salary that i suspect the thunder will try to move some around the league to acquire some assets or consolidate into one or two big pieces.

Not this draft . Probably 2026 or 2027. Still need sell the franchise , let them set up their staffing and all.

That is not true. If they retain eyeryone and trade away the picks for future firsts (because if they retain everyone they won't have the rosterspots anyway), they will be even below the tay with an estimate active cap at 177 million $.

See here: https://www.spotrac.com/nba/oklahoma-city-thunder/yearly

It will get tense when JDub and Chet will get their new contracts kicking in in 26/27.

I'm loving all the anti-Shai and OKC hate on the main board. Loving it!
