A lot of former players speaking to the fatigue factor… Barkley, Draymond, Shaq, JWill… people celebrating the end of the minutes police prematurely yesterday.

A lot of huffing n puffing early (OG) and mental mistakes late, plus tired legs on the game winning OT shots (Jalen air ball).

People think it’s all about injuries only, but that’s what 82 games of 7-8 man rotations + 40+ mpg adds up to at this point in the season.

And why Thibs went away from primarily switching like we did vs Boston, I dunno, but we need to go back to it

I've been saying Josh's minutes need to be cut.

Mitchy or deuce should be eating those minutes
Hart gets beat on defense so many times

The OG play where he fumbled stood out as the biggest and dumbest mistake. All we had to do was just hold the ball and take the clock down. Indy gets the ball down 5 with like 10 seconds left at worst.

OG had his worst game as a Knicks...you can probably point to 10 plays where he just made the wrong decision. I have no idea what it was...sick, hurt, tired...but it was a disaster for him especially down the stretch.

like wtf is this?

Then as for Hart

Read on Twitter

with less than a minute how do you lose focus like this?

And this is in OT where we shouldn't have been in the first place.

From the terrible 3 pt defense, the missed FT's, the turnovers when all we had to do was hold on to the ball. How we went over 3 minutes without calling a TO to settle the team down?

Amateur hour ****!

That OG missed rebound , looked like he was tired. He also missed an easy layup/dunk earlier in the game. Im hoping it's just being tired and not hurt.

We cannot play at this pace without leaning into the bench. These guys aren't machines and people need to come to terms with it.

Letting Neismith go off like that is inexcusable. Players and coaching. Inexcusable.

Knicks played terribly and deserved to lose but . . . they still should have won if the call on OG wasn't reversed (how can they reverse the call when it showed he grabbed OG's jersey) and/or the non-goaltending call (clear it was goaltending).

Hit some FTs.

KAT needs to post every time down the court. Work inside-out, not outside-in.

They weren’t tired. Brunson was sitting on the bench for the longest time, probably the longest he got to rest all season long. Then came in and played awful. If anything he probably sat on the bench too long.

It’s the type of fatigue that isn’t cured by a few mins of rest… or even 4 days off.

I will agree with this is OG is healthy.
If I'm pissed about the game they have to be. They will also look at film and that should have them super focused Knicksfix.

The post game press conference by OG
Something looked off. He looked angry. He looked annoyed
Brunson and KAT were pissed. KAT didn’t crack a smile. He normally does. Even in losses. These guys are pissed and the loss will fuel them to refocus

NY2k1 wrote:Woke up this morning still pissed off. We basically gifted the Pacers game 1. Wasted a game where the Knicks should have won and now game 2 essentially becomes a do or die game.

At least it’s an 8pm tip, but Fridays and weekends are always bad games for the Knicks at home because IMO (and 40 years experience) people bring their kids. The energy is different and it gets harder to execute down the stretch, while the opponent is still just amped to be playing anywhere except their bumbled*ck home arena. It’s a real liability and why G1 was so critical.

I had Indy winning G2 and G5 at the Garden. Now that better not be the case obviously.
