makes a lot of sense if we move away from one of green/okogie/mann this summer. not sure there's room for: miller, miles, green, mann, salaun, okogie, ace/tre/vj/kon and herb.

bigger depth/role player priority would be poa defender, 3pt shooting, passing, rim pressure, floor spacing big > wing defender

I would say the two options to trade for Herb would be trading down from 4 to 7.
Or trading two future first round picks for Herb.

I personally would probably pass on both, but that is at mimimum what it would cost. No chance NOP is moving him for 1 1st, especially at his discounted salary.

I wonder what Ainge would want for Collins and Sexton? I feel like including a first round picks is an overpay considering they are both on expiring contracts, but he likely wouldn't budge without it.

Nurkic, Green, and ? for Collins and Sexton.

i wouldn't mind utilizing that worst of ORL/MEM/PHX/WAS 1st next year to get those two guys and unload Green and Grant

I don't think Utah would want to take on that much money, but if they would for just that first Peterson should definitely jump on that.

No chance NY is trading KAT. If they blow it up it will be OG or Bridges getting shipped out.

Yeah, that’s not happening from NY, and I’d hesitate to let Williams go despite the uncertainty surrounding his future. But if we seriously wanted that one vet who could help carry us to a big next level, of course it would be a deal to consider. But…this team ain’t close, and this ain’t a real option.

I would be interested in OG as well. KAT and Markkanen are probably the high end of what they could reasonably trade for.

easy yes for me, KAT has plenty of holes in his game, but the talent upgrade is too good and we get rid of the headache.

Also Knicks shouldn't over react and blow it up, still been a good year. Add some more and think hard about the coaching, Thibs has success be he also grinds down your players which makes it tough in the Playoffs.

Heard Blake Griffin on a podcast earlier this year while Knicks were on a hot streak predicting they won't win it all as they will be buggered by playoffs.
The players know and talk about it, but while he gets some success he will keep getting gigs.

Don't see KAT making a big enough difference here. Not really a floor raiser, more of a good complimentary piece next to good defenders or two way players.

For example he needed Butler, Ant, Gobert to find success.
