Never understand this argument. The Tatum/Brown "fit" has produced 5 ECF appearances, 2 NBA Finals appearances, 1 NBA Championship in 8 years. Seems like a good "fit" to me.
Old CBA it isn’t a bad fit. Under the new one? It’s hard to build a balanced team when you have two guys who do a lot of the same things making 60 million. Bad financial fit might be a better choice if words.
Honestly I don't understand this argument either. No team is absorbing Jaylen Brown's contract so the Celtics would have to take back $45-48 million in contracts for Brown's $53 million. As far as the $60 million in a few years, the salary cap and both aprons will continue to rise. In a few years both Tatum and Brown's contracts will look like like bargains when players are making $70 million.
