San Diego is a good team also. Hope this leads to a very good road trip coming up, after being a game over .500 for the first time in a month. Nice to see the contribution of guys like Lukes and Barger of late. Need Santander and Gimenez to take all the time they need, so this lineup of guys can stay intact for a bit longer.

Hoffman needs to be better. Meanwhile Jordan Romano has thrown 10 straight scoreless innings for the Phillies. Baseball lol.

What about Varsho for that clutch game tying triple lol.

Not a bad idea to do what the Phillies did with Romano, and have Hoffman take a mental break from Closing Games for the next little while. 4 Blown Saves in a matter of couple of weeks is unacceptable. Reminds me of the 2021 Blue Jays bullpen and guys like Brad Hand blowing saves on a regular basis. Have Rodriguez close out games for a bit until Hoffman gets it together and figures it out. Pitch location and execution has not been the same compared to the first month of the year.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Varsho is the team's mvp right now. That being said, he's on a streak and has started similarly well 2 seasons ago and ended off putrid.
Pleasantly happy for Lukes thus far. An old minor leaguer who has done nothing except hit in AAA. Nice to see him working out and contributing offensively.
I have hope for the offense with the new hitting coach after that albatross Martinez was finally let go.

Definitely the Most Valuable .215 hitter in MLB. A shame that the MVP on this Jays team is a .215 Hitter, and not your 500 million player who has less homers than Varsho and is basically a singles hitter right now.
Even Vlad's defense has been underwhelming at times, and you cannot say the same about Varsho whose defense has been stellar. Where would this team be right now if Vlad was more like a true generational talent Judge (like we all had hoped and saw flashes back in 2021)? Hopefully Vlad can also heat up like he did last year around this time, and this team would be significantly better than hovering around .500 like they have been.

Addison Barger turning into a good every-day player is a potential plus. If he can sustain his current level, along with Lukes, they represent an offensive upgrade that will help keep turning over the lineup. Need a bit more from Ernie Clement, and a return to health and relative efficiency for Santander.

Guys, I enjoy the passion about the Varsho debate. But please keep the gamethreads about the game. We have a separate thread for talking about Varsho's value, Moreno vs. Kirk, etc.
