Jokic's greatness and OKC's shooting woes in that series masks the gap between the Thunder and every other team in the conference. Denver has a single advantage, but against every other team, they have the best player, the best big three, the better bench and HCA

I still think OKC has problem with physicality. Denver was physical and Knicks are the more physical of the 2. Of course it also depends on the whistle, if refs will let them play. Here they're calling almost everything.

Pacers match up well against OKC's strength - their guards and wings. OKC Pacers will be the more fun match up to watch.

KAT is a guy who picks up a ton of bad fouls game in/game out. Jokic is not the same type of player in that regard. Heck, it feels like the bulk of KAT's fouls are when he's on offense.

We really about to get OKC vs Indiana Finals smh

Why smh?

Should be a good one.

Oh no doubt, just not 2 teams I want to see on the biggest stage.

No disrespect to OKC I respect them as a team, I just don't find them interesting to watch.

Gotcha

Bro, I was re-watching last night's game instead of thus one in 2nd half. Just so I'd have some basketball on. LOL

Pacers are the best team left against OKC because of their comeback ability

You have the better team, but based on style of play, I wouldn't trade Ant for SGA. Congratulations on having a really great team.

Everything is perimeter orientated it's like nobody runs plays anymore.

Having grown up watching late 90's, early 2000's ball I feel short changed watching games like this.

Am I crazy? I'm open to criticism.

They’re running plays. They’re just not perfectly scripted and guys have to make more decisions on the fly. Plus zone defense becoming legal makes the offense you’re yearning for very hard to execute.

If teams were running the same offenses they ran in 1997 they’d be getting crushed in today’s game. They’d be shooting 30 midrange attempts per game (at 40%) and they’d be the worst offense in the league (and as such would never be in the conference finals).

GG Wolves.

They just don't have the personnel to implement a proper zone against this OKC team.

They do have the personnel to blitz Shai though, I expect much more double team action the next two games. Show hard double, recover under the paint, dare to beat the likes of Dort from outside.

I guess Jokic and the Nuggets were much better then people gave them credit for. Only real threat to this OKC team, and people are acting like they need to trade half of their roster for Patrick Williamses and Zach Lavines of the world...
On top of that, Nuggets handled the unfair "we will slap you, you cant slap us" conundrum much better then the wolves are.

Play Divincenzo less.
Minny will definitely win at lest one in Minny imo.
I love Caruso but he is their second best player, that doesn’t scream sweep to me.

Honestly I don’t think it matters what they do. They can player A less or player B more changes defense up. They’re just overmatched.

Oh for sure. But there’s always a possibility of outlier 3-point shooting or injury.
Just try to extend the series and then you never know.
Not gonna be a sweep is all I was saying. Young team could easily have a letdown in game 3 and then Minny wins game 4 and who knows.
But OKC the better team completely agree.

It’s really hard to imagine the wolves winning four of the next five games against this dominant 70ish win team. Basically hopeless for the wolves any way you dice it.

That’s a legit series bro. Pacers are a hard matchup

The series would be great. Just not 2 teams I find interesting. Also 2 small markets I just don't see how this will be get a lot of hype.

I'm gonna watch tho.

Yup! I'll be watching too.

Hey you BEING a Hornets fan and me a Spurs fan.
Nothing wrong with small market teams . :D

The Western Finals for me was Den vs OKC. Minny just isn't good enough. They're lucky to even be in the Western Finals after Steph got injured. They just don't have the players that make them that team.

You can't outrun the ball. Even Cason Wallace can't.

In fairness, the Wolves also started flopping tonight.
Because it works.
So they started driving to the rim and flopping, because just driving to the rim in the nba playoffs isn’t always enough to get to the line.
