Shhhh they’re in “next ten titles are ours” filter atm. No sense to bring to the table

I just find it weird how they can forget, and it just happened.

In 2014, Dallas took San Antonio to Game 7 in Round 1. The Spurs waltzed to the title after that series. We've seen it happen before.

2008, somehow the Atlanta Hawks took the Celtics to 7 games in Round 1, but the Lakers lose in 6 in the Finals to the Big 3.

So we're just crowning OKC before games are played now?

They can be beaten.

I never said they couldn't. I just wrote that it wouldn't be the first time an early round series ended up being the toughest matchup for a championship team. Heck, the Kobe and Shaq Lakers had tougher matchups with Portland, San Antonio and Sacramento than the Finals through their 3-peat years.

It's funny seeing people downplay him as a FT Merchant. What they ignore is how much he scores even without the FT's. There's a reason why he draws so many fouls and it's because if you give him space, you're screwed. Defenders trying to take space away is why he gets so many calls.

How does getting rid of Gobert help the Timberwolves win a championship? The last time the Timberwolves got rid of a great defensive big they didn’t make the playoffs again for 15 years.

Nah, we are NOT going to compare Rudy Gobert to Kevin **** Garnett. HELL no.

How about Tyson Chandler on the Mavs then? Did losing Tyson Chandler help the Mavs win a championship?

main takeaway is that the Nuggets are really good and maybe they should just run it back? OKC has looked to be on another level compared to every other West team.

With how easily OKC is dog walking the rest of the teams in the playoffs it is a miracle that the Nuggets even took it to game 7 with their laughable roster.

Too soft. They are going to call those SGA fouls anyway, make sure all of it are the flagrant variety, maybe that works.

OKC is young and the Clippers owe them many Draft Picks. Yikes for the NBA.

I believe there is only one pick left after this year's swap (2026).

I've lamented his tendency to sell calls and called him a flooper because he doesn't need to fake out the refs. He also gets away with a lot of hooking and pushing off. That said, he's the best shooting guard in the world right now.

Someone else said it earlier in the thread (sorry, not going to look for the post): "Denver is the only matchup where OKC doesn't have the best player on the floor".

You gotta figure that Naz will find his shot again. Even though he hasn't made a 3 since game 4 of the Warriors series he's still shooting 40% from deep for the playoffs so the slump has been an exceptionally brutal regression to the mean.

Maybe. Or maybe that puts some fear on the very composed Thunder squad. Clearly, the Wolves are outmatched— desperate times calls for desperate measures.

I would argue (and argued prior to the series) that Denver was a really good matchup vs. OKC. I.e. OKC's level vs. the rest of the field is higher than Denver's but Denver's matchup vs. OKC was the best in the league.

It was a hell of a series though and even closer than I figured. They may have something with the Adelman kid.

Can they? Yes. Will they? Almost no chance, this team just has too many lapses in judgement and effort throughout a game.
