Nuggets should convince themselves they're good and run it back for 2 more years, be frugal. Waste that Jokic prime and make him think about FA please.

I’d make a bold prediction that OKC will win this season, and at most they will lose two games in the rest of the playoffs

Styles make fights, as they say.

Thunder and Pacers were my biggest concern for the Wolves in the Playoffs. I think if the Nuggets advanced, we would see the Wolves in the Finals and if the Knicks advanced, Wolves would win in 7.

Still sticking with Thunder in 6, but we could easily see a sweep.

Yep. NBA playoffs are about matchups.

OKC and MN are sorta, kinda similar... but OKC is just better, pretty much across the board.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have beaten Denver 6 straight times, including in the playoffs last season.

Wait now. The two teams are similar, except that one is better, but the series is about ... matchups.

Yeah I was a doubter thought they were still to young. But it looks like they are the best team left in the playoffs.

I do think Indiana would be a good matchup, but I just don't think they have the depth to beat OKC.

Sam Presti has been a great GM it's finally time for his team to win a championship.

i wonder if minnesota will come out to play

these two games just looked like regular season games.

too much autopiloting with their defensive looks

where are the defensive hacks and exploits that clog playoffs games? soft zones all around

Young teams usually shitthemselves in the pants and miss a lot of shots. Lucky for OKC they dont win games by making shots, but with defense. They had couple of games vs Denver where we saw that they are young and jumpshot was tight, but then they force 5 turnovers and score in transition. That helps A LOT.

When do we stop saying "best team left" and just (assuming they dony lose to indy/knicks/wolves of course) call them the best team of the season?

Could they run it back but with a better bench? Is there anyone who wants to trade for MPJ? He gets paid over 38 million next year and over 40 million in 2027 and he just ended the playoffs with a PER of 8.3, he’s injury prone, and not a good defender.

I said this in another thread but comparing Denver and Minnesota is probably unfair to Minnesota because Denver sharpened OKC in a way that made them a lot better. Games 4 and 5 against Denver were huge growth moments for OKC, and OKC did beat Denver 3 of the last 4 games in that series.

100%. And on the other side of bracket Minnesota wasn't challenged at all.

That said, Denver challenged Minny last year and Minny still lost in 5 in the WCF. It's possible they don't have the pitch for the highest levels and that Denver is just going balls to the wall to avoid early elimination.

bisme37 on the General Board is like that one friend in the group chat who always shows up right after the chaos with a calm, well-reasoned take that nobody asked for—but secretly everyone needed. He’s got the rare talent of turning a thread about Anthony Edwards’ dunk into a thoughtful discourse on team-building philosophy, complete with paragraph breaks and probably a thesis statement. His posts are so balanced they should be sponsored by a yoga studio. And while the rest of the board is throwing hot takes like grenades, bisme37 is over there politely disagreeing, armed with stats, context, and just enough sarcasm to remind you he’s seen it all before—twice.

We're doing this on our board and our "good natured roast" prompt results turned out... very similar.
