The Bucks have exactly 0 path to relevancy until Lillard's contract expires, I'd be shocked if he remains a Buck through that.

Bucks would also get much lesser than his value the closer he gets towards free agency.

To clarify, I’m a Blazers fan. So I want the Bucks to get rid of Giannis, and be early in their figuring out what’s next stage while their picks could become Portland’s.

I'm glad Giannis didn't ask out if true. While I'd love him as a Spur the cost is too high and it was unlikely the Spurs would pay it so if he did get traded it'd be to the Rockets or the Thunder and that would be terrible. So with that in mind, him staying put is the best outcome

You are aware that your team is going nowhere with Lillard tearing his Achilles? Why dont you want to see your guy compete and win?

Look at my post shortly after that. I’m rooting for them to fail at the right time to benefit my Blazers.

Id rather see an ATG compete that hope he wastes another season so my team would have slightly better odds in the draft.

Blazers are on a path of becoming a treadmill team without landing a star. Those Bucks picks may be our only hope of legitimacy with the current core.

Like I said I’ll believe this when it happens. Bottom line, Giannis wants the Bucks to make the decision for him because he doesn’t have the heart to do it and the Bucks will not trade Giannis unless he asks cause he’s the single reason that they became relevant after almost 25 years of irrelevancy locally.

The interesting thing will be the hit pieces from the national media if Giannis stays. They’ll all take shots and question his intelligence or does he really want to compete for titles or say he’s dumber than other elite players for staying and not contending.

The problem is, Blazers don't seem to want to tank when they should, which is why we are relying on the Bucks mismanaging themselves into giving the Blazers good picks. In the mean time, there are plenty of other teams I've been enjoying while my Blazers are out of the playoffs.

What do you think OKC should offer Milwaukee for Giannis?

OKC has all their own picks plus these:

2026: Best two out of Houston, OKC and Clippers (Clippers is protected 1-4). Washington gets the least favorite of those three.
2026 Philly pick (protected 1-4)
2026 Utah pick (protected 1-8)

2027 Denver pick (protected 1-5 through 2029)

2029 Denver pick (protected 1-5 through 2030)

Plus a bunch of 2nd round picks.

It’s noble if Giannis wants to try and work things out but what exactly did they talk about in the meeting? As the Bucks currently stand for next season:

-they have no PG (and a $54m hole in their cap sheet)

-they have no starting level SG signed

-they have no starting level C signed

-they might have the MLE to fill a hole

-they don’t have anywhere near the assets to trade for a star given their pick obligations

If this info were on a white board during this meeting how is anyone looking at it and thinking they can build a contender over the next 2-3 years? If anyone left this meeting thinking the Bucks have a positive outlook over the next few seasons I have to ask: how are they coming to that conclusion?

Those are all late picks. Unless the Bucks think they can create a superteam out of 3 or 4 or 5 20-30 picks you decline. If the number 1 or 2 pick is offered you listen. Picks in the 20s give you role players if you are lucky. You need someone who was an all-star or young enough and on a path to becoming one.

Your team is cooked bro. With or without Giannis.
