To be fair, I do like Mathurin. I do think that he has real scoring potential and I do like his willingness to be physical. I think he can put it all together and that he can give us a different look at times of need.

But I can also see why someone wouldn't like his playing style.

I'm very confused, Toppin and Myles have spent all season letting it fly when they have a look.

All game, they have both had looks and not taken them. Maybe a point of emphasis thing from Carlisle? They're trying to get to something? I dunno.

Nah we're good. Not elite but good. That said Knicks did get lucky with Boston's league bad shooting in G1/G2.

If I were a Celtics fan during that series I would’ve wanted to fire Mazzula. They clearly had the better roster and just wouldn’t stop shooting threes

To be fair, that was a mandatory TV timeout. The Pacers had to take a timeout there around the 7 minute mark.

Pacers will cash him out before having to give him a real contract. Book it. Smart org does smart things.

Pacers have too many young guys. Just like OKC. They can't keep them all.

Yeah, but that’s not the reason to trade Mathurin. It’s because he has one plus skill, drawing contact on drives.

He’s gotten a little better overall in his three years, but not the improvement you want to see from a 6th pick. He’s a black hole on offense, his defensive effort is inconsistent, and he’s just an ok shooter. Also, his attitude isn’t very good.

Getting him high 20’s in minutes in the regular season is easy — he’ll get some buckets and some highlights, and he isn’t a total sieve or anything. But in the playoffs, with game planning, he’s exploitable. He won’t pass. He won’t get as many calls. And you can definitely score on him.

The Pacers have one more year before he has to get paid. My bet is they find some team that sees his 16/5/2 and cashes him out, leaving more minutes for better actual players like the N’s.
