right, i don't get this obession with ratings. Who the **** cares? it's not like it makes any difference for you.

It's not even about ratings, it's about respecting your own time. Like, are you planning your night with your date or family around that Finals? Of course not. If my mom calls unexpectedly I'd turn off the TV. If my wife wants to take the kid to the park, I'm leaving. I would plan date nights/plans with friends around certain Finals game nights, I would feel sad for somebody who turned down any plans to watch OKC/Indiana

I think you can call the OKC-Wolves series over. Not this one. Games been close.

This one is over, Pacers stole BOTH home games. The Wolves were expected to lose both the first two road games.

Also, this is the Knicks. Cursed franchise and can’t get the W when it matters. Utterly disappointing really because they have the tools to do it but just did not match the Pacers’ effort.

Knicks are 5-1 on the road this playoffs and 3-5 at home. Homecourt means absolutely nothing in this series.

Do fans of other sports leagues do this? I feel like for 25 years in the NBA it has always been a salt fest whenever smaller markets got to the finals originating when the Spurs and Pistons were winning titles.

I am not if Detroit is a small market team tbh but I get your point.

I suspect a lot of these casuals are Lakers and more likely LeBron Stans bitter their hero is not playing in the big dance again (and gen z/younger generation fans to)

agreed I only mentioned Detroit because it was probably 2005 finals when I first heard so much whining about ratings when Spurs vs Pistons played.

Crazy the Knicks have only improved in health and players since last year where they were up 2-0 almost easily before the injuries and still got it to 7, now a year later where the Pacers roster hasn't changed much at all and they are whipping the Knicks ass

The key was the KAT trade. They got rid of iHart who was a great defensive big in favor of KAT. This is kind of weird in hindsight, considering that a healthy Randle could have reproduced 70% of KAT's impact on the floor

They didn't choose KAT over iHart he left for more money because the CBA is stupid and we could only offer so much but the Thunder could offer whatever they wanted.

It was KAT over Randle and that was a good choice imo.

The Knicks are kind of screwed. They hitched their wagon on KAT and he was benched in the 4th. It's clear that the Knicks need a 2 WAY big man, and they do not have the assets to get one

Just took Brown with a torn meniscus, KP with SARs and Tatum with a torn achilles.

They were down 3-1 before Tatum went down let's not pretend now. KP sure but he barely played last playoffs either and Brown was playing like his normal self regardless.

Never in a million years did I think the Pacers could be up 2-0. Was hopeful to steal one for a split. This series is far from over. Knicks win game 3 and it’s gonna be on. With the race hope the fans aren’t all passed out before tip off. Should be rowdy.

Everyone stop overreacting! Yes the series is 2-0 to the Pacers but you need 4 wins to advance. The Knicks didn't play well, and still the game was extreme close until the end. A possession here a possession there goes another way and the Knicks could have won. This series is that close. Yes, it is disappointing to drop two at home, but the series is not over. The Knicks can still do it! But they need to obviously play better in future games. Mission is far from impossible.

I agree that the series is not over and that the Knicks can still win it. But I do have to ask you an honest question:

Do you still believe that the Knicks are the better team? If you want to claim they have a better collection of top-end talent, sure, no argument against that but are they the better TEAM?

On paper yes the Knicks are better, but on the court the Pacers have been the better team. Carlisle is clearly outcoaching Thibs.

Kansas City Chiefs Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bill, Pitt Steelers, Cincy, Bengals , New Orleans Saints, Minn Vikings, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indy Colts, Jacksonville Jags, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, etc.

The big market NY Jets have been a joke for decades and haven't been in the playoffs for a decade and a half. Last win a Super Bowl in 1969!
Same for the Chicago Bears, they stink and haven't won a SB since 1985.

The NFL can get ESPN talking about the Browns over a 5th round pick but will barely talk about a non-LeBron Cavs lol. It's like if the NBA talked about the Wizards on their 26th pick, it just sounds laughable.

It's also a fit thing. Warriors would have slotted Pascal into the role that KD had. On both ends. Warriors should've given up more to get him. Everyone trying to talk down Raptors' talent and wanting to get them for cheap like we're some dumb hicks lost in the city. You still can't find a PF/SF who fits that role. There ain't that many. All the good ones I've seen coming out of college they've all gone in the top 3 picks.
