It's really nice to have a young team that still has a fairly certain core. The expectations and pressure are low, so successes will just feel like house money. Plus, there's always some excitement to seeing how a new staff will approach the culture and team-building stuff.

I had zero problem with the Jets taking a swing on Rodgers, but I didn't like the mid-season attempts to mortgage the future to save the present. Now, there's a bit more clean up to do with cap conditions, but at least the light at the end of the tunnel is a fairly clean slate and a bunch of developing pieces.

With a **** OL and decent RBs (I love David Montgomery but he's not nearly as explosive as Breece Hall) the Bears led the NFL in rushing in 2022 and were second in 2023. In 2024 we were a bottom 8 rushing attack after paying D'Andre Swift. Fields stresses a defense the **** out and they have to account for his legs at all times - the running game will be a top 3 attack and Fields is cautious with the ball so he's not going to throw too many picks for y'all.

I know the defense is pretty talented - if the running game is unstoppable and the defense is strong, I wouldn't be shocked to see y'all in as a wildcard team with the arrow pointed straight up this time next year.

This was at the end of the 2023 season but it's a good representation of Fields' game and where it's at now. Bears had Moore and a bunch of absolute scrubs at WR and he still threw for 270 yards. This was a windy, snowy game and you get a good idea of his down field accuracy and escapabilty.

Word is Daboll ended practice early just now because Burns and Kayvon decided to throw hands with the offensive line

I don't mind it. This defense needs to become meaner, more violent, and more nastier.

if they can stop the run and force some obvious passing down the D-line is going to be hellish. This is not even including Dex in the middle.

That spin move is so nice. Will MacDonald has that in his arsenal and it's lethal against Tackles.

You cant single dex or he is going to win that matchup like 90% of the time. So that is going to leave some crazy one one ones for the rest of the crew or teams will have to max protect allowing us to double most receiving options.

I'm not a big football guy, but the Giants seemed to have had a good draft.

Abdul Carter is a beast

Jaxon Dart is getting praise in a bunch of articles. Granted, he's not even thrown a pass in a real game yet and maybe he doesn't even see playing time for several months and maybe not one snap all year, but I'm interested.

Darius Alexander and Cam Skattebo should help, even if Cam looks bad giving interviews, he should help their running game.

They might not be too far away from turning it around, if properly managed and if some of these guys work out. I don't know if they can build a winning team around Jaxon Dart in 2 years, but I'm more invested in him as a fan than I ever was in Daniel Jones. I never really believed in Jones. But, what do I know?

My Jets, however, by comparison, feel much further away. Maybe Fields finds some magic, and they win some useless games and maybe he's even fun to watch, but the Jets don't feel close to being a winning team. Years away, I think. Maybe they can sell some vets and do a full rebuild.
Trump is going after Harvard, because he hates the educated. What Trump doesn't realize is that Harvard is here to stay and he is not. 20 years from now, Harvard will be a top university, while Trump will just be a stain on American history.

yeah, i'll believe it when i see it against a good o-line, not against ours lol. not saying the d-line isn't great but doing it against our o-line isn't showing much

I’m at the point where I don’t even care if the team is any good. I just want to see these 4 monsters destroy opposing QBs.

I've literally never cared about the Jets in my life but I'm here to tell you that they're a playoff team.

The Eagles just won the Super Bowl off of the strength of their running game, the Ravens were a top 4 team in large part because of the strength of their running game. The Lions were a top 6 rushing attack in the NFL and so much of what they do on offense relies on their dynamic running game. The Jets have built a roster that's easily going to be a top 3 rushing attack in the NFL and they're going to rely on that to win way more games than expected.

1. Fields & Lamar are the top two rushing QBs in the NFL - the zone read option isn't something that's been implemented too often so it's not something that's exactly valued in mainstream NFL circles but it soon will be. Long story short, Fields rushing ability helps create explosive plays for both himself and his running backs at an absurd rate.

2. The Jets have serious talent & depth at the RB position to be a high rushing workload - think of the Pacers with their pace & depth. By the 4th quarter they're eating well because they've worn down the opponents - so many teams have invested into the passing game and stopping it that they're not equipped to stop this sort of rushing attack.

3. The Eagles just won the Super Bowl with this meta - elite running backs were seriously undervalued in the 2024 FA period and the Eagles won the Super Bowl because they paid Saquon roughly the same contract that the Jags paid Gabe Davis to catch 20 passes and get cut. Make no mistake - Fields is an elite rushing QB and his passing ability is better than public perception will make you believe it is. The Jets are ahead of the curve here and should have a seriously good season.

Again I don't care a single bit about the Jets but I am a fan of Fields and have watched a lot of Lions football and what Glenn & co are doing highly resembles what the Lions did in their rebuild.
