You see the agility of OKC and MIN wings. We had only Moses Moody to provide some of it and he got out of the rotation.
A center should be either vertical threat or 3-point threat. Small lineups do not work that well.

OKC went tiny, playing jdub at the 5 (he's 6'4) against the trio of bigs Minny put out there, and dominated with the small lineup in the 2nd half. Did similar stuff vs Jokic. It's not the size of the player in question, that matters. 5 lue dorts, chason wallaces, jalen williamss or carusos can dominate. Steph, Podz, GP2, and Pat Spencer ain't it. That is the problem, not the nominal size of the players on the court.

Ateph, podz, and Spencer are guards. Only gp2 would be a wing.

Every team in these conference finals have versatility.

A) alpha guard play
B) wings
C) 2 bigs

We only have A. We have guards that double as wings and small bigs.

Is nembhard a wing? Isn’t he a guard? I guess Nesmith is a wing but he’s moody sized just more athletic and plays hungrier. Pascal is the only prototypical sized player while Turner is a bit undersized.

So really it’s our bigs in Jimmy and dray?

I’m surprised we didn’t look at any of the Olympic practice guys. Though I guess we did have tjd and podz.

These aren't mutually exclusive, we can keep Draymond at PF and bring in a big. Steven Adams, Brook Lopez, Clint Capela would all be upgrades to whatever the hell it is we have now at C.

I think we need a shooting center next to Dray and we'll have the best defense in the league as long as Dray and Jimmy are healthy. Brook & Boucher are my two hopes for the TPMLE

We need somebody with an agility at C position.
Adams and Lopez are too slow. Lopez 5 rebs in 31 mins is scary.

Your obsession with Donte is ridiculous. He's a very limited player whose offensive value is predicted entirely on whether or not he's making threes because he does very little else.

During his playoff run with the Warriors, Donte had 37/34/67 shooting splits for a whopping 5.5 points a game.

Your concerns about Brook Lopez' rebounding are also unfounded. In the last four seasons, the Bucks have ranked in the 91st, 97th, 88th, and 87th percentile in DREB% with him on the court. Lopez' value on the glass has always been measured by how well his team secures boards, not by his rebound numbers.

During Donte's playoff run with the Knicks he shot .425 3P%. As a starter on 8.2 attempts per game.
He is pure fit for Warriors system able to play both guard positions.

Brook played with Giannis, best athlete in the league.

He was a great college basketball player. He was on that Wisconsin team that lost in the Final Four followed by losing in the National Championship a year later.

Hayes was compared to Draymond Green, at 6-7 with a 7-3 wingspan and strong as an ox. Great defender, could handle, pass the ball, and was a four year with a winning pedigree and high bball iq. But he went undrafted as an undersized power forward with a shaky outside shot. Surprised we didn't give him a shot at a roster spot, he is/was a Kerr type guy.

Exactly he is Kerr type guy with high BBIQ. His shot is ok now and also he is combo forward. He could easily have Tucker career in NBA.

If Lauri Markannen was not earning 46 goddamn millions a year next season I would think it would be opportunity for buy low.
But 46 millions for 42% FG, jeez

Maybe, if he played 72+ games a season. But he hasn't hit that mark in eight career seasons, coming close in his rookie season at 68 games. Since his rookie season, he's missed 31% of the games in his career. In his three seasons with Utah, he's missed 31.7%.

It could be his extensive postseason minutes that has led to him missing games in the regular season. Oh wait, he has played 0 (zero) postseason games so far. Two play-in games, though, both losses in 2022 as an 8th seed with the Cavs.

I argued against trying to trade for him in the 2024 offseason just because of his injury history.

With these tanking teams i would assume that he could play 15 more games per each last season and he was just asked to sit because of tanking. But still 46m millions per year.

For $46 mil, I rather have MPJ from Denver... probably get a 1st to get him too instead of losing multiple 1st.

Jaylin Williams would be a nice stealthy acquisition - I could see him slotting in as our starting center next year, and the team taking a huge jump as a result.

We saw what happened when Post offered some spacing next to Draymond and Butler - the offense was pretty magical. Williams is better than Post, particularly defensively.

OKC also has a roster crunch, with all of the good players they have, and the mountain of draft picks coming up. They’re going to have to consolidate or defer more picks to the future. So Williams (Jaylin, not Jalen) might be obtainable if we can offer them a future pick or, more likely, a swap or two.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?
