Right. They were down 2-1 and down 9 late in the game when tatum got hurt despite him having his best game they were once again being outplayed in the 4th. They were clearly being outclassed and also on their way to a 3-1 deficit.

Can't speak for all Pacer fans, but I think the majority of us are so use to disappointment, we expect it. We'll be pessimistic till we're ahead by 20 with 2 minutes left to win the 4th game of the finals.

They are shooting a full 4 percentage points better from 3 than they did in the regular season so reversion to the mean is a possibility.

It’s really hard to match up with them because Turner is such a good stretch 5. But I think they could be in trouble against a team like OKC who have the personnel to match their style and pace defensively.

Rebounding is an obvious one.

We aren't great defensively either. We're above average and much better than we were last year but teams can score on us and we won't always be able to get key defensive stops (especially if we lose the rebound after forcing the initial miss).

Putting a lengthy defender on Haliburton (someone like Jaden McDaniels, for example) used to work but both Hali and the rest of our starters have improved and have learned how to mitigate this issue. I would agree that offensively we're rather complete.

I'd say that the best way to beat us is to match our depth and our egalitarian scoring. If your team has 5-6 players in double figures (like our team usually has) then your chances of beating the Pacers is much better than if your two main guys are combining for 60-70.

It is a possibility, I agree, but how much of this difference in percentages is due to Andrew Nembhard? Nembhard finished the season shooting 29.1% from 3. He's currently shooting 53.1% from 3 in the playoffs.

And he did that last year as well. He shot 35.7% from 3 in the RS and 48.3% in the playoffs. So, while the sample size is still small, we're not really talking about a fluke here.
