What about today's game would make it more difficult for MJ? I really don't see anything stopping him or making him a worse player.
The quality of players being better? His meh 3pt shooting? The way that the primary ball handler these days is almost always able to run an offense, and Jordan can't do that? The much higher physical demands on players today that would massively deplete Jordan's energy?
Quality of players is better in some aspects and worse in others. It's hard to compare different eras in any sport, and especially in the NBA where rule changes play such a big part. It's easy to look "better" when you can take 3 steps whenever you want for example. Today we see so many players who are much less talented than MJ being able to put up numbers. It's not like it's more difficult for offensive players today. Jordan wouldn't need 3 point shooting today just like he didn't need it in his time. Jordan was a great shooter, just not from 3 point range. He didn't care about it. Being surrounded by 3 point shooting would only make it easier for him to play his game.
