CLIPPERS
In: Collins /43
Out: Bogdanovic /K.Brown/Eubanks/30
The Clippers are getting a very good fit. He starts at the 4, and gives them the option to play a wide 5, playing center. He's a good 3-point shooter and excellent at catching Harden lobs. (Rumors suggest) They'll sign Brogdon (who replaces Bogdanovic).
JAZZ
In: Bogdanovic /Eubanks (Cut)/Wolves 31
Out: Collins/21
Send Collins to a contender and a late pick they don't need to use (surplus prospects) to get a high-variance future pick.
Bogdan expiring would just be trade bait
(include Denver and send Bogdanovic + FRP (Prot) for Nnaji/Saric/Tyson + Denver 31?)
KINGS
In:21/30
Out: Wolves 31
The Kings are trying to share now and don't overvalue future picks. Here they get 2 FRP in a deep draft, ideal for finding a couple of role players. I'm guessing they're looking for a wing with the (Coward/Fleming/Clifford/McNeley) in the 21 range and a defensive-minded center at 30 (Beringer/Raynaud/Yang).

A Fleming/Yang draft would be fantastic for Sac.

It's a unique trade and the Jazz obviously say yes, but I don't know if the Kings are willing to give up a high variance pick for two rookies.
Obviously helps a lot with cost control, but idk.

Yes, I understand your point and although I agree that the selection is high variance (and that's why I think Utah has to take the risk) but the WOLVES are very young, Ant/McDaniels should be at their best in 2031.

absolutely not. you've tried this before with the spurs 27 when wemby's durability is in question. no one knows what the wolves will be then. you dont trade picks for mid-late first value

Disagree. Take what you know if you need it. Sac needs to add to its youth. This draft has talent down the draft. I actually like a lot of guys in the 20s more than lotto guys. Fleming is an awesome fit for example.

That’s you and shiny new things
Historically the talent is at the top of the draft not the middle or end. You don’t sacrifice a chance for top of the draft on unknown picks for middle to late first round
Kings don’t need middle- late first rounders, they are competing now, and the chances are those middle to late first rounders won’t be rotational

Either Perry trusts his drafting skills or he doesn’t. I trust mine. Fleming would be a good fit.
The Kings are not going to sit on that Minny pick for 5-6 years. It’s getting moved, likely this summer or the deadline.

Even if it was, it would be for win now talent. not middle-late first round kids that most likely won't be anything (the nature of the middle and late first round).
Though, its a tricky pick to move.. Opposing teams would factor Ant on the team and the current Wolves, not the chance Ant ends up elsewhere or gets injured while Gobert retires and the pick becomes something

Re: Clippers/Jazz/Kings
Im okay with this if the Kings have a target. Kings need some young lottery tickets. Ant will be in his prime when that pick is due, so I guess the gamble is he leaves.
