You would consider this and, by extension, you think the Jazz should, but do you think the Jazz would? I'm not convinced, but not because I think in lockstep with Ainge. I soured on Keyonte prior to the 2024 deadline and would have jettisoned him last summer, something I don't think was considered for a second.

I hope they would, but I don't know.

Of course I don't know either. I'm just basing this assessment on the decisions they've made and what I’ve read in the media. We shall see.

I think they'll move Lauri, likely for a loss relative to moving him earlier. They didnt assess his ceiling correctly, IMO.

I respect your opinion, but we disagree.

Think Utah just deals directly with each team. No reason for this to be a three way trade. Just feels like a way to cram Kessler to LA into Utah absorbing PG’s contract.

I would offer Lauri, 21st pick, the next Cavs or Minnesota pick that conveys, for PG and the third pick.

That’s a complete non-starter for the Sixers. There’s no way to get from this to reasonable.

The closest these threads ever get is PG + 3 + (X) for Lauri + 5. And then no one can ever agree what X should be. It has to be something of real value, but the Sixers don’t have many of those and certainly don’t have any spare, so it never works.

Basically all PG + 3 deals inevitably fall apart because the Sixers aren’t ready for a win now move and that’s the only way to make it work because PG makes so much.

I can't see the Wolves having much interest in the original proposal. I think Minnesota would rather have the extra cheap year of Divincenzo plus the 17th pick over having to pay Reaves.

I see little value from moving the #5 to #3. There is no clear better player after Flagg and Harper. Not taking on a **** contract to move two spots.

But the post you quoted did not propose 5 + George for Lauri + 3...

I believe that he was responding to the bolded.

I'm sorry, you think that Lauri is the **** contract in this scenario?

I was responding to the bolded.

I am all for trading so we can have an additional pick such as the Sixers pick. I would trade the 21st pick, take on bad salary, trade Lauri, Collins, Sexton, some of our youth, and even include one of the Minnesota or Cavs picks to get a pick that high.

But trading away a good player for a terrible contract is not even close to something I would do in this particular draft to move up two spots. Or rather from 5 to 3. Just not worth it.

The bolded portion was Lauri/5 for PG/3 AND SOMETHING

Saying you're not interested in moving up 2 spots from 5 to 3 is certainly a valid opinion to have, but there is no motivation for any team to give up #3 overall to liquidate salary for little if any present gain.

As others have said, I dont see the Wolves doing this kind of deal. They have limited assets as it is, and are up against the tax so they probably would struggle to even keep Reaves. They have much bigger needs like PG, and another big man.

I dont think you read the post you quoted. The proposal is 3 + George + some incentive for Lauri + 5. Philly has some really good assets & there arw ways to balance it.

Well the million dollar question is what is this extra filler? Unprotected FRP’s, swaps, 2nd round draft picks?

I'd probably do it with LAC's unprotected 1st in 2028, or ideally the higher ofLAC/PHI' 1sts in 2028, but YMMV. Might do it with McCain. I know we have a million guards, but I really like him.
