Don't see KAT making a big enough difference here. Not really a floor raiser, more of a good complimentary piece next to good defenders or two way players.

For example he needed Butler, Ant, Gobert to find success.

one of my favorite games of the last three seasons, KAT had 59 or so through three quarters and then the rest of the Wolves forgot KAT existed, and KAT tried way too hard in his few touches that he totally burned himself out and we had a field day in the 4th. Leaky Black had game winning FTs. It was also Terry's last game as a Hornet iirc

Idk if I can be sold on any deal that has us moving down. As little faith as I have in us I’d imagine our board will have a pretty big difference in our fourth graded player and seventh. We should not gamble on moving down for an inferior talent only to add a role player

The interesting question is who to draft at #7 if they moved back. People might think Im crazy, but Id be pushing for Demin and Jaku (besides more obvious like Fears if he falls). I still wouldn't want Kon.

i havent spent a ton of time looking at that next tier unless one of tre, vj, ace, kon magically fell to 7.

or kon/fears/jaku/malauch/demin?/cmb/carter-bryant + herb

i can see arguments both ways.

id be pretty happy with a kon/herb draft night. we dont get a shot at a future star but we add 2 very high level starter/role player

maybe its because i dont really believe in ace/vj/tre/kon as potential melo level players. each have such massive holes to fix. all 4 are most likely high end starter/role players. so instead of swinging for a home run, move back and grab a two doubles and dump green.

I don't know if its actually the smart thing to do but I just personally like Demin and Jaku so if they traded back a few spots and got some value out of it I wouldnt hate it.

This is honestly kind of why I prefer VJ at #4. I think he has the easiest path to being a high end starter with some two-way impact and I just don't feel super confident about any of these guys becoming true stars. It feels like VJ's medium and low end outcomes might be better than Ace/Tre.

Maybe its cowardly, but its easy to fall into that kind of thinking if I don't actually thoroughly scout these guys.

I said this in the Demin thread.

If we can get a legit starter I would love the idea of Demin as a trade back option. He needs to get stronger, but I love the idea of him being a secondary playmaker in the starting unit.

We would have to get a starter back tho.
