Foul on the body anyway, at least per how they called it against the Knicks.... They gave Siakam a bunch on those calls

Maybe the refs can make that call. He's vertical and with both arms extended.

He didn't jump vertical...he jumped into deuce and hit him on the body. Body contact before block.

He did block his body … not sure how they’d have ruled

Plenty of receipts from the GT including my own. Didn't think we had a comeback in us tonight. KAT saved us but kudos to Wright, Shamet and Deuce as well for playing some solid defense. We were dead in the water all game and our bench (yes we have one contrary to popular belief) kept the energy and intensity high. Tom better reward Wright and Shamet with some more burn rest of this series.

Maybe but on the whole I honestly don’t think Mitch adds much. He’s slow and out of breath and a spot minute player

He guards the perimeter well

He gets some boards — he is def not a starter and KAT needs to play the 5 offensively

the guy had made a huge impact in the playoffs but melo is the hater, not you. suspend yourself.

I like Mitch but he’s not someone who needs to play major minutes this series … he is a good small minutes player

It’s not hate, but this is not his series — he did help us win the other series

And no I won’t be suspending myself … I’m giving basketball opinions that often happen to be right

:rofl2:

and stop saying you like him. you don't. just own up to it. and he just had 2 great games in this series. this one was just ok.

Nah, he is on some remote island waiting to move stolen jewelry. But in the meantime he is on some cutting edge super computer looking at advanced stats smiling right now.

He doesn't touch regular newspapers. Its beneath him.

I know he ended up playing a bunch of minutes, but it felt like he still had something in the tank to finish the game tonight. That was pretty key on those defensive boards

I was thinking the same thing. I think its a HUGE advantage for us for him to come off the bench for that reason alone aqua.

At a wedding was watching on my phone drunk as hell. Let's go Knicks!

KAT earned his keep tonight. Hell of a second half.

Lineup change and Delon Wright and Shamet playing....why does it take so long for these adjustments?

But we are back in this series!

Perhaps Rose finally took action after several years of WW Wes saying Thibs needs to open up the rotation

I believe it would be something like that, because Thibs is stubborn to the point of blindness when facts are staring him in the face.

If Thibs believed the rest of his career depended on winning this game (and it certainly could have, because getting swept in the ECF is not what this FO was banking on) then starting Mitch was Thibs looking after Thibs, not Thibs making a purely rational decision.

It is impossible to trust Thibs to make these decisions on his own so it is entirely believable he got strong-armed by management to mix it up and expand the rotation.

Desperation sometimes bring change though, so tonight was a good outcome regardless of what got Thibs to do it

Wild conspiracy theory. More simple explanation is that we lost 2 games in a row and he made a change. He’s done this in the past in the playoffs

No, my reasoning actually is the most likely explanation. Nothing in the least bit wild about it.

The simplest assumption does not always make sense when every moment in history leading up to that moment says otherwise.

Occam's Razor loses today

I was partially going off history like when we got down against the hawks he began starting Derrick rose and taj Gibson over Payton and Nerlens who had started all season

KAT did grab Hali so it was the right call but Hali’s flop was nonetheless gross

In slow mo it was even worse

Brunson is from a scoring aspect having a good series but from a distributor part of his game he is having a really bad series.

Completely off topic but they got to get a older PG to come in and help Brunson improve that part of his game

Also great game for KAT but the fact that defensively he and Brunson have to be staggered either by the coaches or by fouls says a lot and should be the biggest question about this roster. Like the offensive talent is definitely there but there is a glaring defensive hole on the roster as well.

I love that this team gutted it out. I think that might be maybe a core aspect of their team personality. Don’t quit!

I do like him. You can’t read my mind. I’m honest, but he’s a one way player and I don’t think his defense is as good as you do

Listen we don’t agree but I think you’re a smart, good guy. Just be happy your team won a big one

It really doesn't matter why he did it right now. Maybe there will be an inside scoop in a biography 15 years from now about it.

Thibs had to mix it up. He did. The only thing that matters now is will he stay on his toes or fall backwards into his la-z-boy and forget what he learned tonight.

I’m fine with sham. He doesn’t like me but I like him

melo crossed the line knowingly lying about me and is thus suspended for a day, only a day
